I really didn't like seeing this one:

President, OH 10/5/2004
Kerry (D) 49%
Bush (R) 48%
Other/Undecided 3%
Data Collected 10/2/04 - 10/4/04
Geography State of Ohio
Sample Population 761 Likely Voters
Margin of Error 3.6%
Client WCPO-TV Cincinnati
WKYC-TV Cleveland

There's still lots of time but Bush and Cheney need to spend a lot of time in Ohio.

Interesting that Martinez's lead is similiar to GW Bush's lead. I think the race for the White House and the Senate race will yield straight ticket voting in Florida.

I like the SUSA numbers on Martinez but that OH poll is very scary. It will be very difficult for GWB to win without. Most websites are listing OH as being for Bush but it is too close. They had better pour tremendous resources into that state. Though as long as Bush wins FL, and can take IA and WI to make up for a possible OH loss, he can still get reelected.

Apparently, Democrat activists in IA are already bringing in absentee ballots for Nov. 2. IA could be one of those states won through the early balloting process by the Democrats.

If Martinez doesn't run ads about how Castor coddled Al-Arian, he deserves to lose.

"If Martinez doesn't run ads about how Castor coddled Al-Arian, he deserves to lose."

To me, anyway, you come you come across like you "know" he's not doing them yet. I hear and see those ads every day here in Orlando.

The problem with the battleground states is winning by 5% OR MORE, otherwise the enormous 'Rat vote fraud and fake rumor schemes will overwhelm. Email campaign: http://FreedomKeys.com/draftscam.htm

Martinez is running his ads where he needs to run them. Personally, I feel he could be doing a better job of it, but he's got the upper hand, I think, and Castor is on the defensive. My main objection is that I don't think the ads are as good as they could be. You'd think that with all the top advice Martinez is getting, they'd be able to come up with something more effective against Castor than what he's got. Maybe I'm just jaded by all the negative ads I've seen over the years. These ads don't really distinguish themselves from the average negative ad.

Or a lot of other combinations. The last poll actually had us up in Pennsylvania by a point, and dead even in Michigain. We could easily take Oregon, Iowa, New Mexico etc. Most polls have us up in Ohio anyway. Truth be told, the only way we will lose Ohio is voter fraud.

Reading your post, I just had a thought..

It seems to me that there is a lot of money thrown into the system during election cycles when key States are up for grabs. Would I be considered a conspiracy theorist if I tossed out the notion that local media oulets (MSM) utilize these polls to line their pockets?

It apprears every year, even during Reagans landslide that the Polls were kept close. (I am aware 2000 proved Polls correct) - jest a thought!

I have to wonder also, are some people being polled (even if it is only a small number) afraid to reveal they are for Bush perhaps? It wouldn't surprise me. With the popular culture and the "cultural elites" (as Dan Quayle called them) constantly bashing Bush and conservatism, i wonder if perhaps some people out there are embarrassed by their political leanings. They fear that admitting to a poll taker that they are for Bush must make them stupid or backwards.
