Hehe, in that pic, Breck Girl looks like more like a Senate page than a Senator.

Okay, class, what's wrong with that statement????? "It depends on what the meaning of 'met' is."
'Met' vs. 'met', 'Is' vs. 'is'. Same old same old.
To: Howlin
Edwards' campaign later provided a transcript of a February 2001 prayer breakfast at which Cheney began his remarks by acknowledging the North Carolina senator. The campaign also said Cheney, in his capacity as Senate president, had sworn in Edwards. ALSO .. the new incoming Senators (which Edwards was not one of them) Were sworn in .. in the beginning of Jan of 2001
I remember it was Al Gore that sworn Hellary into office

I actually took the comment to mean in the Senate but either way it doesn't really matter...Edwards should have redirected at that point but couldn't...

The silky pony was rode hard and put up wet.If that was the screaming front page headline of the NYT, it would deserve to be framed in a gold frame and hung on the wall in my computer room.

Yeah, I agree. Something had to be going on. CNN, USAToday, NBC were all the same way when I finally got votes in. 77% Edwards......five minutes after the debate.
This is the spin they will use for tomorrow. I just gave up, cause it was obvious these weren't "real polls". I kept thinking of people I know who don't frequent the polls. I know how they feel, and after this debate, I'm sure they are convinced. How could you not be? To heck with the polls, when people go in the voting booth, that's where the truth will come out.

The only reason Edwards decided not to run again is because he knew he would never win again in a primarilly republican north carolina. Senator Gone, You are correct

They don't even bother to try and make the lies plausible any more, they just say whatever suits them at the time and then act like nothing's happened. Jesus, how stupid do they think we are anyway?

Strangely, my husband said today before the debate to a friend that he thought this debate COULD be the only Veep debate in history that affected the turnout of the election.
I personally don't believe that. Edwards libs probably are home making excuses for their Pony tonight.
To: vaudine
Called it basically a lie and a smear and directed interested voters to the fact url--someone post it if they know it. I think it was www.factcheck.com
To: kabar
" He could have showed some class and ignored it--"Regardless of the moderators question: you're right..Edwards = no class.

Will someone please give a synopsis of how Cheney did? It was the single most lopsided debate in the history of debates. I'd post a picture of Bambi Vs Godzilla but Free Republic is so overloaded that they have requested no pictures be posted right now.
Also, I don't have one.
Best line EVER: (paraphrased): "I have been the President of the Senate for 4 years. I am there most days and almost every Tuesday. The first time I ever met you, Senator Edwards, was tonight on this stage."
To: Howlin
Gawd, I love stuff like that! Well that totally blew the dems argument out of the water .. LOL
