I will be the first to admit it, I wanted Cheney gone and off the ticket, but the man is so devastatingly good at this, its amazing. Usually VP debates have little affect on the outcome of the Presidency but Cheney just might be changing history tonight.

I'll be the first to admit it -- I wanted Cheney to run for President and GWB to be his vice president. Howabout THEM apples? But lemme tell ya, when I watched the news conference that GWB gave in 2000, where he announced his selection for VP, I was ecstatic. Small surprise, eh?

Well, not to take away from Cheney's ability, but it's not hard to squash a freshman. Cheney's biggest asset is having strength in Bush's weaknesses, I think. It's a good balance. Always has been. I'm glad Bush didn't fall into the popularity game.
