Sorry, Woofie, but the Vietnam War is not over for me. It will not be over for me as long as any of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (a/k/a Commies) and their sympathizers (read that as Hillary Rotten Clinton) are in any office of trust in the United States.

Yep, to pre-empt and attempt to neutralize AND quite possibly to announce new findings made by his minions who are hurriedly searching genealogical data - something to the effect that they have either just discovered that he is a descendant of Irish Catholic ancestors (nonny ne nah nah, shades of the first JFK) and maybe a product of Native American ancestry as well, the Lackawannabe Tribe of upper Pawtucket. Throw in his black heritage through his blood brotherhood with Bill Clinton, along with some other ethnic ties. Voila. There you have it. The ethnic minority vote.

I will say this, President Bush has more physical characteristics of Native American than Kerry or Edwards; but the Kerry bunch better watch the "grandson of the grandfather of a Cherokee princess" announcements. Native Americans only laugh at such drivel.

Kerry usually waits 15 minutes after the Pres. has spoken to call a press conference. This time he wants to get a head start. He has called a press conference today to say that whatever Pres. Bush says in his speech tomorrow is a lie!

It could be that Rove announced Bush's "significant speech" for tomorrow for the express purpose of prodding Kerry to say something in advance. This gives Bush a look at what Kerry thinks the winning issue of the moment is and enough time to shape his own speech more effectively.

There's a lot of gamesmanship going on right now.

I am trying to figure this whole Bremer thing out. Something smells here and I have an idea he is bitter. When he was over there I thought he was on the side of doing what is right for Iraq. Now, I get a sick feeling that he is changing his boots for $$$ and for helping kerry for whatever reason. We sure can not trust people these days.

The first time I clicked your link I was able to see the article I believe...Dated September 28, correct? Before the debate.

Now it wants me to register which I'm not inclined to do.

At any rate, if it was before the debate it would give Kerry his source without necessarily having heard it previously from Berger. Thanks for that posting that.

In a statement late last night, Bremer stressed that he fully supports the administration's plan for training Iraqi security forces as well as its overall strategy for Iraq.

"I believe that we currently have sufficient troop levels in Iraq," he said in an e-mailed statement. He said all references in recent speeches to troop levels related to the situation when he arrived in Baghdad in May 2003 -- "and when I believed we needed either more coalition troops or Iraqi security forces to address the looting."

He said that, to address the problem, the occupation government developed a plan that is still in place under the new interim Iraqi government.

Bremer also said he believes winning the war in Iraq is an "integral part of fighting this war on terror." He added that he "strongly supports" President Bush's reelection.

I would bet that he will refer in some way to his service in Viet Nam no matter what his statement is. He can't help himself -- its an addiction.

I'm LOL...I have a very good friend who graduated from William & Mary in 1972. I see her on the average of 2 times a week; and it is very seldom at all that she does NOT make a direct/non-direct W&M reference. My DH and I joke about it, laugh a little about it...it's like: "she did it again."
