George Soros: The 'God' Who Carries Around Some Dangerous Demons
LA Times ^ | October 4, 2004 | Rachel Ehrenfeld and Shawn Macomber, Rachel Ehrenfeld

"Frankly, I don't think I'll need to do a lot more," Democratic philanthropist George Soros bragged to USA Today just a few months ago. "I now take the defeat of Bush more or less for granted."

Unfortunately for him, that defeat no longer seems so certain, so the billionaire, who had spent more than $15 million in an attempt to get John F. Kerry elected, is now trying to protect his earlier investments by throwing in an additional $3 million.

"America, under Bush, is a danger to the world," says Soros. To save the world and prevent the reelection of George W. Bush, Soros has dedicated extraordinary amounts of time and money because defeating Bush, he says, is his "central focus." His motto, "If I spend enough, I will make it right," is the essence of his articulated ideas about changing society.

It seems that Soros believes he was anointed by God. "I fancied myself as some kind of god …" he once wrote. "If truth be known, I carried some rather potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood, which I felt I had to control, otherwise they might get me in trouble."

When asked by Britain's Independent newspaper to elaborate on that passage, Soros said, "It is a sort of disease when you consider yourself some kind of god, the creator of everything, but I feel comfortable about it now since I began to live it out."

Since I began to live it out. Those unfamiliar with Soros would probably dismiss the statement out of hand. But for those who have followed his career and sociopolitical endeavors, it cannot be taken quite so lightly.

Soros has proved that with the vast resources of money at his command he has the ability to make the once unthinkable acceptable.

In his book, "Soros on Soros," he says: "I do not accept the rules imposed by others…. And in periods of regime change, the normal rules don't apply." Clearly, Soros considers himself to be someone who is able to determine when the "normal rules" should and shouldn't apply.

The more I read about this guy the more I do not like him. I recently heard him speak, and it was odd listening to a man with a foreign accent show venom as he does all in his might to over throw the election and oust Bush ... YUCK!

With the money he's made, he's obviously not an idiot... but he sure is looney tunes!

The sickness of those who are arrogant. It just seems to defy any sanity they have.

A few months ago, WLS Radio discussed an article about Soros. I have to admit that I hadn't heard of him until then. But the description they gave of his ideas and his self-perception reminded me of things I've heard preachers say to describe the Antichrist. I'm not saying that Soros is the Antichrist, but my use of the term is not intended to be a compliment either.

"America, under Bush, is a danger to the world," says Soros

There you have it. The chief Democrat money man thinks America, not Islamic the Jihadists, is a danger to the world.

His bought and paid for puppet Kerry likely believes the same, but can't say it if he wants to win at least a few electoral votes.

I hope he acts like Oskar Schindler after the election. "I should have done more... This watch... I could have bought 10 commercial spots with this watch. This short position in the US dollar.... I could have bought 50 election monitors..."

Soros is one frightening S.O.B. The fact that he supports Kerry is reason enough for anyone not to vote for him.

I really wonder what this guy is after, and why he wants Bush out and is willing to pump mega $$$ toward it. IMHO, there has to be a quid pro quo behind this, I don't know if it's the ability to manipulate our currency or what, but he definitely wants something.

And I totally agree, the more I read about this guy, the more I despise him.

There was a man named Nebuchadnezzar who had similar fantasies. Read about him in the book of Daniel, Bible.

'scuse me for nostalgia, but I long for the days when a traitor like Soros would hang by his thumbs in a dark cell for the rest of his life.

Soros stands convicted by the French of "insider trading". (Kinda like being convicted of lewdness in the "red light" district of Amsterdam, or of speeding on the Autobahn!)

There's Hillary's Cattlegate and Terry MacAwful's "Global Crossings". The reason these people believe that the system is so awfully corrupt and stacked and rigged is because they've been so successful at it themselves!

"someone who is able to determine when the "normal rules" should and shouldn't apply"

He's one of the VERY rich elite and the rules really don't apply to them. They can basically get away with anything they want to. I have never trusted this guy, I mean just look into his eyes. There's something not right with him.
