KENTUCKIANS FOR TAX REFORM SET TO EXPOSE KENTUCKYS LEAST WANTED
WILL SINGLE OUT LEGISLATORS AS ENEMIES OF THE TAXPAYER FOR THEIR REFUSAL TO VOTE ON A STATE BUDGET
LOUISVILLE, KY Kentuckians for Tax Reform, the state chapter of Americans for Tax Reform, famous for the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, has called a press conference for Tuesday, October 5th, in the Rotunda of the Capitol Building in Frankfort, Kentucky. The press conference is scheduled for 10:30 till 11:00 a.m.
The KTR press conference will expose Kentuckys Least Wanted legislators, who have obstructed, delayed and refused to pass a state budget during the 2004 regular session of the General Assembly. The lack of a state budget has forced important road and school improvements to be put on hold and has contributed to the current state healthcare crisis.
The KTR press conference will feature remarks by State Senate candidate Chris Ratliff for the 31st District. Ratliff has called on his opponent to return his legislative paycheck for failing to vote on a state budget.
KTR has endorsed Ratliffs call for legislators to give back their paychecks from 2004 regular session of the General Assembly for failing to vote on or pass a budget.
There will be an announcement by KTR and Ratliff concerning the fact the General Assembly has failed to vote on and to pass a state budget.
Kentucky Taxes ping
PING!!!! ...of interest, let's chew on this. :))
Chris Ratliff has called on his opponent to return his pay check for not voting on the state budget. He didn't cast a vote, yes or no.
This is going to be a good press conference to really push the fact that because of Jody Richards, Harry Moberly, et al, in the House and all the Senate Dems, we don't have a state budget.
Bob Damaron, Gooch and others in the House, put partisanship aside and worked for a budget in face of opposition from a small group of malcontents in the Senate and the House.
If you can attend, everyone, come on out. Bring a protest sign and come to the Capitol. The press is definitely going to give this coverage.
So basically they are starting to do a little impromptu screening of these guys, eh?
Do you have a list of those representatives and senators who are or might be on the list? Please post if you have it.
Larry Clark ought to be on the list.
Candidate Larry Belcher ought to be on it as well.
There will be a complete after the press conference, as well as a PDF of the "Kentucky Least Wanted" poster that can be used as a handout.
Everybody turn out that can and let's give these those trying to get a budget, the candidates and elected officials, our support; plus, let's stick it to Jody Richards, Ernesto Scorsone, Jones and others a hard road tomorrow.
Did you ever see who was on the list?
Every Democrat State Senator currently serving and up for re-election this term. Also, Jody Richards, Harry Moberly, the Democratic House Leadership, Kathy Stein, House A&R Chairman
Um, first of all Harry Moberly is the House A&R Chairman, not Kathy Stein. Stein has no committee chairmanships, as she is disliked within her own caucus about as much as she is disliked by Republicans.
Why would they target so many Senate Democrats and not that many House Democrats, especially considering that not many Senate Democrats have viable opponents this fall. Out of the House Democrats you mentioned, only two have Republican opponents (Harry Moberly vs. Chuck Luke and Joe Barrows vs. Tony Moreno). Despite the fact that both Luke and Moreno are good candidates, they are probably nowhere near the top of the best possibilities of knocking a Democrat off.
I would have thought that the Kentuckians for Tax Reform would have a better handle on the politics of Frankfort. If they want legislators that are going to vote their way, they need to help make the House have a Republican majority. That could be accomplished in two years, provided they pick up a good number of seats this year.
I was just listing a sampling of those on the list. All were separated by commas. I know Kathy Stein isn't the A&R chairman. I was quickly listing for you some of those on the list.
Why all the State Senators? I think that ALL the state senators passed on voting on the budget, i.e. none voted yes or no.
Thanks to the debacle on the state health insurance from Fletcher, there will be few gains in the State House and all the Senate races will be close.
If you're so worried about who was on the list, why weren't you in Frankfort at the press conference, anyway?
Sorry, I misread the list of names then.
I was not at the press conference because I was out going door-to-door for a candidate that morning.
I believe you will be shocked a bit when you see the November results regarding the House. I honestly expect 7-8 more Republicans come this next session. 8 more makes 44 and that is a force to be reckoned with.
Regarding the Senate, yes there are some close ones. The Carroll Gibson - Barry Cannon race is tight, as is the Jack Westwood - Kathy Groob. As much as I hate to see it, there is a strong possibility that the State Senate could be a tie come Nov. 3rd. Gibson, Westwood, and Chris Ratliff's races are going to determine the majority. We HAVE to win at least one of those.
Ratliff needs financial contributions. The big pay-to-play state contractors are pumping the money in for his opponent. Ray Jones also has been busted for accepting money from a gay activist from Louisville.
Freepers across the country need to help this Ratliff guy out. He's a conservative and his opponent is a wacky liberal who supports homosexual civil unions.
If you'd like his address, just email me through FR.
