I thought cancer was not considered cured until 5 years after the original occurance. At least that is what they told my mother with her melanoma and other people we know. Maybe prostate cancer is different?

Agree... This sounds a lot like the "I don't fall down" false bravado from earlier... In fact, it could be a smoke screen to prevent further inquiry from the friendly press.

That's what my doc told me. And that you're at increased risk to develop the same or another form of cancer for up to 12 years.
