Personally, I liked "....but we'll talk about that later." from someone who supposedly didn't know the questions he was to be asked.

Poor John Kerry, he was born with a silver foot in his mouth.

Thanks ma Richards, you old witch.

Here is my #1. It shows Kerry at the max Flip/Flop. It was Kerry that tore into the soldiers after Nam and now he says otherwise.

KERRY: I understand what the president is talking about, because I know what it means to lose people in combat. And the question, is it worth the cost, reminds me of my own thinking when I came back from fighting in that war.

And it reminds me that it is vital for us not to confuse the war, ever, with the warriors. That happened before.

Exactly

Please people, let's focus on the what we have without coming off like kooky conspiracy theorists.

In this particular instance, he said we will talk about that later in reference to Homeland Security. The debate topic included Foreign Policy and Homeland Security.

Continuing to look for more than is there is going to make us look silly.

cincinnati, you're right. I was just listening to WABC radio and the topic of conversation was regarding how Kerry cheated (i.e. the piece of paper that he allegedly pulled out of his pocket). Then, there was an additional accusation noted, which said that Kerry had an earpiece, and a man from NJ called up and discussed it. Well, the next caller said on the air 'this is why I would never vote for Bush...all the Republicans are paranoid and conspirators'. So, yeah, perhaps we should be careful not to go over the top with our speculations (although, I certainly wouldn't put it past Kerry to cheat!)

I personally liked #9. Why does the`nam-churian candidate think France and Germany are our allies? Does he realize they hate us because we`re better than they are, that we in actuality usually fix the problems they get into? That the only ally of the U.S. to stand with us in EVERY battle for the last 100 years is Australia and yet they are "bribed or coerced"? sigh.... I really hate preaching to the chior as it were, but venting is good, just ask mt.St. Helens

Yes, there is enough goofy stuff he said without conspiratorial speculation that can be easily explained away. It's making us look silly and more importantly, it diminishes credibility on the real things.

The folded piece of paper is fair game as far as I'm concerned because it was captured on video. Given this gem, why do people have to divert attention with claims that a wink from the moderator or Kerry's reference to the PRE-designated debate topic is evidence of a grand conspiracy?

Instead of looking like whacky conspiracy nuts and diluting what we have, we should continue to hammer on what is known:

(1) Kerry broke the rules (paper in pocket) - This can and will go a long way if it gets out there. But be careful with accusations about what it was lest we come off looking like nuts. Cheat sheet? Maybe. Actual questions? I highly doubt it!

(2) Kerry said some really stupid things (see above) - Global Test, For and Against the war in same debate.

I'm sure these kids / families were standing next to some foreign leaders that said they preferred Kerry.

The president did miss a good opportunity to reply, did you tell those kids you voted against their body armor?

10. “Osama bin Laden uses the invasion of Iraq in order to go out to people and say that America has declared war on Islam.” -

Actually Osama first claimed that American no-flight zones and sanctions were such a declaration.

Again, and it pains me to say this, it just shows how bad Bush did, that he couldn't hit these softballs out of the park.

Well, personally I think someone or ones told President Bush to go out and play nice, and let kerry bury himself in his own negative attacks

Now wonder the President looked so PO'd watching watermelons like that floating in over the plate that he couldn't swing at, I'd have been tearing that lying pomp-ass ass kerry's botoxed lipsticked face off about 20 minutes into the debate

But, hey, that's just me
