Amman, Oct. 3 (Petra-Jordan News Agency)--His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed that Israel's continuation of its arrogance, its assassination and mass killing of Palestinians, as well as the destruction of properties and infrastructure in the Palestinian lands, do not serve peace.
During a meeting at the Hashemite Royal Court with a delegation from the British Royal Defence Studies Academy, the King said that such acts will increase the cycle of violence, instability as well as the phenomenon of extremism in the region.
"The Palestinian cause is the first central issue in the Middle East region and solving it in a just and comprehensive way forms a priority for us in Jordan, His Majesty said during the meeting, which was also attended by the King's Special Advisor, Yousef Dalabeeh, Royal Court Minister Sameer Rifai and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Khaled Jamil Sarayreh.
King Abdullah called on the Palestinian authority to solve its internal disputes and unify its efforts to achieve aspirations of the Palestinian people, and be an active partner in the peace process.
His Majesty also called on the international community to provide every possible support to urge the Palestinians and Israelis to return to the negotiating table and pledge to implement the roadmap. "Jordan supports efforts being exerted by the current Iraqi government to end violence and chaos in all Iraqi cities," he said, stressing the importance of standing by the Iraqi people and enabling it to reconstruct a unified Iraq that enjoys security, stability and democracy.

Not really surprising. What else can an Arab ruler say and not be assassinated?
King Abdullah seems to be marginally better than his father, who was considered a US ally but who noticeably let us down any time push actually came to shove.
It really is a pity.

His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed that Israel's continuation of its arrogance, its assassination and mass killing of Palestinians, as well as the destruction of properties and infrastructure in the Palestinian lands, do not serve peace. He left out the most concerning part in his statement.
Israels continuing assassinations and mass killing of Hamas members and their promoters of the taking of innocent lives, DOES save Innocent Israeli's lives.
This attitude doesn't serve peace Mr. Abdulla?
Thank God I have never been en tanged in the web of pro-terrorist spinning.

Each and every move by Israel follows an attack on it's own citizens. What Abdullah and even our own statedepartment do, is damn the chess player who follows the opening move, with one of their own. Yes that's rather simplistic, but it's exactly what takes place here.
In effect what these people do is damn the police, the district attorney, the grand jury, the judge, the appealet courts instead of the person who committed the murder.
In the most recent incident, the Palestinians fired rockets into Israel killing two children. Israel responed by entering Gaza and clearing out areas close enough to Israel, that they could fire these rockets from cover. Is the Palestinian and Arab mind so rotted by fifty years of terrorism, that they can't rationalize why Israel responds as it does? No, the fact is they fein stupidity to rationalize their own complicity in bringing down responsive violence on their own people.
As the walls were built, Israel experienced less violence. Miracle of miracles, Israel carried out much less violent responses during this period. The cause and effect of this ongoing terroristic situation, are lost on the Palestinians, other Arabs in the Middle East, Europe, the U.N. and all too often our own state department.
Israel is in effect required to commit national suicide in the persuit of peace. Is that going to happen? Hell no! All the appologists for Palestinain treachery, should wake up to that fact. Blaming Israel for all the problems of the middle-east is ignorance on display.
Abdullah's comments about the cycles of violence escalating due to "Israel's Actions" doesn't merit the cost of the ink it takes to write it down.
If Abdullah and his fellow travelers would think objectively and rationally, they would urge the Palestinians to show restraint. They would remind them that every time they take negative action, their people suffer for it. No, instead they will demand the Palestinians return to the peace table (where Israel will be required to present a long list of things it will give up), where they will give a thumbs up or down without giving up anything for the cause of peace.
No, that would be too tough for the great minds of the middle-east to comprehend. It would also be too tough a concept for our state department to grasp about 95% of the time.
In some ways Abdullah is a good guy. In others he's as ignorant as the rest. I will say this though, if he were to make the same demands on the Palestinians as he did on Israel, he'd probably be assassinated within months.
Europe, the U.N. and our state department don't suffer these same fears. Can anyone remember a time when the Palestinians were damned for the terrorists they manufacture? I can't. Israel suffers a lot of abuse on the world stage. More often than not, our state department joins in.
State is a ceaspool.
