Does anybody remember the poll taken after the 2000 election of Florida felons, including a sizable number of sex offenders. They would have easily elected Gore, had they maintained their voting privileges. Must be something about liberals that love to love...........children.

I hope there is video footage of this. Even the campaign aides are appalled. I suggest to the Kerry campaign that this guy should travel everywhere with Kerry. Nothing scares the wits out of the average voter than senior citizen hippies.

I could not believe what I read or the picture I saw. This is coming from a man accusing the president of making colossal errors in judgment?
This information and related images deserve lots of publicity.

Peter, Paul and Mary were a slick bit of socialist marketing in their day, but are not too wholesome under the microscope. David Horowitz's "Radical Son," contains some memories of a young and very (ahem) "active" Mary Travers that also punctures the carefully constructed facade.
I remember watching most of the variety shows in the sixties, and the false veil of folkie sanctity that the media (including, of course, CBS) was pulling over people like PP&M and Pete Seeger (who, somewhat like John Kerry, was FOR Hitler before he was AGAINST Hitler). Although I could be mistaken, I believe Captain Kangaroo might even have had Seeger on the show. I inexplicably - for I was very young and did not hear much adult discussion about politics - had an instinctive dislike for the lot of them, and the feeling has never left me.
