WASHINGTON -- John F. Kerry improved his image with voters who watched his debate with President Bush last week but didn't significantly shift their choice in the presidential race, a Los Angeles Times Poll of debate viewers has found.
While the debate generally did not diminish impressions of Bush on most questions, it did restore some of the luster Kerry had lost amid relentless Republican pounding since his party's convention in July, the poll found.
The key political question will be whether those gains in Kerry's image will help him peel away voters from Bush in the days ahead. More than three times as many of the people who watched Thursday's debate chose Kerry rather than Bush as the winner, the poll found.

Of course! This is the resurrection Kerry has been granted long before the debates started. By whom, the liberal media.
Wishful thinking.
Sure it did. Reposting an LA Times poll on another site doesn't change the source. Keep in mind, this SAME LA Times poll was the only one PRE-Debate that thought Kerry was ahead! So in this Lies All the Time POll, this massively great Debate performence managed to move Kerry from 1 point ahead to 2 points ahead in a Pro Kerry poll that has a margin of error of +-4 points. So an intellectually honest title might be "Kerry shores up fracturing base with Debate performence" or "In Debate, Kerry preaches to the choir but gains no new ground".
But of course that would not feed into the Left Press's media template of "the come back Kid".

Pardon me? I posted that article because I thought the first paragraph more accurately reflected the true numbers in the poll then those the MSM is headlining
"John F. Kerry improved his image with voters who watched his debate with President Bush last week but didn't significantly shift their choice in the presidential race, a Los Angeles Times Poll of debate viewers has found. "
Sorry I can't resist, I have to post this, I was wondering how the Swift Boat Vets and other Vietnam Vets feel about Kerry stating in the debate that he was not sorry for his 1971 testimony! He stated it very firmly.
"Mr. Kerry, what's your view on the collosal failures of President Bush?"
...followed by:
"Mr. Bush, what's it like being such a collosal failure?"
Lehrer's questions were incredibly biased in favor of Kerry. There was NOT ONE question about Kerry's lies, flip-flops, and anti-Intelligence Agency, anti-Defense and anti-Troops votes, words and deeds. Not ONE.
I agree.
While GW didn't do himself a bit of good, we did learn a couple of things.
1. GW had the chance to put this scumbag to bed, and didn't do it. His bust.
2. John Kerry can, very convincinly, tell us that he is always on both sides of every issue, and the world's "vote" means a lot more than any "unenlightened" American's vote.
I think that over the next month, people will pick up on that.
And the new "Global Test" ad will unboost Kerry's image.
