I keep telling people there is a paradigm shift and national referendum on Vietnam. The politics of Vietnam and the liberals ideology is in severe decline. Rejection of the MSM liberal message has only been accelerated by Rathergate. Kerry is their heir apparent, and they may be heartened by the debate. They can not win. They will not win. No one wants Vietnam and the years of self doubt and self hate all over again.

These liberals will never stop. The "Vietnam syndrome" is not just about the war it is a state of mind and JFKerry using that state of mind is no different than those "Moolah's" calling their followers.
JFKerry is calling to his fellow travelers and seeking new recruits from a generation that has no clue what it was like to live through the 60's & 70's. All those born after 1970 know about this era is what is shown on the tv, movies and some warped paragraph taught by public education's socialistic history books.

That isnt true. The larger picture tells me that this is a referendum on the War Powers Act and the people of this country don't even know it. Vietnam and Iraq are "debacles" because Congress abdicated it's responsibility so when the going gets tough it falls on the executive. Further, it falls on the executive branch to determine national priorities. It's the ultimate weaseling out for Congress and the ultimate loss for our nation.
As long as this Act remains intact our nation will wilt under threats both great and small. If you want to go to war you need Congress to debate and declare a war on behalf of all Americans.
Iraq is a just war, it's a war we cannot afford to lose but we've lost the political will. Why? Because creeps like Kerry can abdicate responsibility by claiming "it was only a vote" to give the President the power and not hamstring the executive. It's a lose-lose for the nation and a win-win for our increasingly spineless congress.
As usual the nation is harking at the branches of evil and missing the root. And, as usual, the MSM is too ignorant of history and foreign affairs to understand what the hell is going on.
