Boycott George Soros and Peter Lewis
10/01/2004 | TheNailMan

Forbes magazine says that George Soros made his money from hedge funds; Peter Lewis owns Progressive Insurance. Both contribute millions to Democratic 527 organizations such as MoveOn.org. Has anyone organizied a boycott of their companies? Its time for them to pay a dear price for their left wing political activities. Others invited to add to this initial list of (2) names.

I won't do business with Progressive. But what companies does Soros own/run?

Okay, here's what I'm thinking now:  If you listen to the Cortaslim commercials, they say it's part of a diet, exercise, supplement and (I think) meal replacement program.  Well, heck, if you're doing all that stuff, you should be able to lose weight without Cortaslim.
It's kind of like saying Chocolate Blasted Sugar Bombs are part of a complete nutritious breakfast with milk, juice, toast, and bacon.
Plus, even in that one where they had the blind study, the people only lost nine pounds.  That's not so much, really.

Oh, and thanks for your thoughtful vanity.

Soros is a trader. He makes money by laying bets on price fluctuations. You can't "boycott" him. Most hedge funds are closed-end deals where the minimum buy-in is several million dollars. You'd know it if you were invested in one.

I've been hunting for a new job, and Progressive has about 30 IT jobs listed. Been like that for the better part of a year.

I won't even send that slimeball a resume, and I'm more than qualified for many of the positions.

Peter Lewis is an idiot, and beyond that he finances both Democrats and ugly buildings. No way my labor is going to benefit him.

I'd like to think that they have so many positions open because no one wants to work for him, but unfortunately, its probably because their doing well.

Hey, have you ever looked at the nutritional information on an "Atkins" bar? Three of those contain enough alcohol sugars to keep you on the toilet until 2007. I can't think of a better way to lose weight than by crapping out your entire small intestine.

What's with the "I'm the wife of a world-famous talk show host" crap? For all anyone knows, she's married to Phil Hendrie. You could work real hard and get slim and look great and for what? So Phil Hendrie's ugly bald head will look at you with a more intense leer?

Right. That's my point. I can't exactly boycott hedge funds!

Memo to self. Call financial planner to withdraw all funds from Soros hedge funds.

But what companies does Soros own/run?

Soros is the main funder of various pro-drug web-sites, some of which offer products for sale.

George Saros is clearly one of the most evil men alive right now.
Not only is this nasty, incredibly arrogant man using clearly illegal means to finance extreme, hard line, left wing crazies like moveon.org, in an attempt to illegally influence the presidential elections, he has also financed a coup in the Republic of Georgia, as well as financing groups that are hell bent on legalizing dangerous drugs in America.
We haven't even mentioned George Soros's "Bush is Hitler" mantra or his very active part in the collapse of East Asian economies a few years back, or his conviction in France (of all places) for insider trading.
This guy is clearly a thoroughly maladjusted individual and psychopath, who hates America with a passion.
How do we hit back at him?
Well we can start off by boycotting JetBlue Airlines.
Why JetBlue?
Because Soros was one of the original investors in JetBlue. He invested in that company for the sole purpose of helping the partly French owned Airbus screw up Boeing.
Freepers may know that JetBlue uses strictly Airbus planes, that being one of the conditions that Soros stipulated before investing any money in JetBlue.
I will strongly encourage Freepers to use Airtran, which is not only cheaper than JetBlue, but in addition Airtran uses ONLY Boeing planes.
So we can strike a blow against Soros, the hated French and at the same time help an American company Boeing by patronizing Airtran over Boeing any time we do air travel.
