I really liked the closing statement:
We must determine again to show our enemies just who we can be, and passing a "global test" of approval be damned.
If the "global test" had applied at the time of the American Revolution, we would be playing "God Save the Queen" before World Series games. When the Declaration of Independence was passed on 2 July, 1776, not a SINGLE nation in the world was willing to support this new nation, the United States of America.
