kerry cant make himself something he is not, a strong leader he is a phony and people can see and sense that. let him "win" 1000 debates. people can see the Presidents heart.....kerry doesnt have one.

I agree kingattax. A lot will be said that Lurch was more eloquent or relaxed. Maybe he was, but it doesn't change the fact that he can't be trusted to say anything that people can believe.

What was showing a lead for President Bush in the polls was a clear, concise message, and not being all over the map, with policy position dependent on the moon and stars alignment, or whatever he bases it on.

Maybe he'll even take a few votes in the short term. But when it comes time to pull a lever for the position of President of the United States, I think more people are going to want a strong leader whom they know they can trust to be consistent with his beliefs
