Freedom of Conscience, No State Religion

The United States of America was founded by Christian leaders. The United States Constitution was written and signed by those Christians. John Leland was a very independent-minded Baptist preacher in Orange County of the Virginia colony. Isaac Backus of Massachusetts and Virginia’s John Leland, who were eager to ensure freedom of conscience and rid the Colonies of legal arrangements that interfered with it. They directly influenced the first amendment to the constitution giving us freedom of speech and religion free of state intrusion.

United States Constitution Amendment I (1791) Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

I’m a soul winner more than anything else. I’ve lead the soul winning ministry in our church (www.KingdomBaptist.org) for over 10 years. I’ve trained many men and women of God to be soul winners also. I operate a ministry (www.ProtestGayDay.com) where we street preach on a regular basis.

We have the same responsibility to be involved in the decision making processes that guide the nation just as much as the founding fathers did. There is no difference. Politics are also a tool for preaching the holy word to people. Christians need to get off of the couches of complacency and get into the streets of city, state and federal government to help stop the spread of unrighteousness by rebuking evil and exalting the goodness of God. If we do not there will be no free country where the gospel can be preached. If you do not believe me just ask Rev. Rinaldy Damanik at www.prisoneralert.com.

I believe what made this nation great can also preserve its greatness. I will go down preaching the truth. Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Preach it from the roof tops, let your light shine before men, that the Lord be glorified and lifted up that he will draw men unto himself.

Praise GOD and keep up the good work and I hope you lead more souls to the Lord, Amen and Amen.
Another thought that might help is the Supreme Court of this United States of America was NEVER intended or AUTHORIZED to interpete the Constitution according to the founding fathers. If it would be legal than this country would be an oligarchy nor a democracy instead of a republic
