I think after a day or two Bush will be declared the winner.

Kerry made too many lies that will be looked into.

"I think after a day or two Bush will be declared the winner."

Yes.

Besides the lies, there was no substance. He didn't answer when asked for specifics about his great big secret Iraq "plan"--twice!, and he was FOR multilateralism for Iraq before he was AGAINST multilateralism for North Korea, and so forth and so on. His performance won't wear well.

And yet ABCs scientific fact-checking after the debate only had one comment (about Bush stating the number of troops). Glad we have the web to level the bias.

Kerry failed in doing what he needed to do most and that was coming across LIKEABLE.

He didn't do anything to soften his arrogant edge.

Bush came off sincere and desirous of putting America first.

You can remember what Bush said two days later; congressman kerry just rambles like Sebastion the Ivy League professor.

Love the tag: B.H.of the Republic. Only song that can make me weep.

There was one major gaffe that only former NYC Mayor Rudi Guiliani picked up on when he talked with FNC's Chris Wallace right after the debate ended: Senator Kerry at the beginning of the debate said that Saddam Hussein was not a threat--and ended the debate saying that Hussein was a threat.

Believe me, Hussein was a threat, because his terrorist connections mean that the technology to make poison gases and biological agents the Iraqi military got could have been passed to various Islamic terrorist groups. Given how that Japanese religious cult made Sarin nerve gas from a homemade still, the better-funded al-Qaeda terrorists could have set up small chemical plants to make poison gases on a fairly large scale.

And because of his flip flop history, it will all come out in the wash. Wait until talk radio goes after this.
Bush may have been passive, but he made no mistakes, and gave no fodder to the liberal press. Bush is safe. Kerry gave them talk (ratings material).

Nader is the real winner. All week Kerry sounded like Dean. In the debate he sounded more like GWB with a Monday morning quarterback viewpoint. Bottom line, under Kerry the US troops will not leave until victory is achieved. The war will go on. Left wing anti war Dems are greatly disappointed. The hardcore may stay home or vote for Nader. Kerry did not land a knock out punch and GWB did not say something real stupid. Tactically Kerry wins the debate in terms of performance, but strategically he has not changed the big picture in terms of polls.

Bingo! People forget that the first Gore vs. Bush debate was considered a Gore win by most people, but then the analysis started, and he had told so many lies it became "There goes Al making stuff up again, and by the next debate it was a Bush victory in everyone's mind. I concur that will happen here.
