Kerry Lied in Debate
gop.com ^ | 9-30-04 | GOP.COM

KERRY CLAIMS HE'S "NEVER, EVER" USED WORD "LYING" IN REFERENCE TO PRESIDENT BUSH ON IRAQ.

JIM LEHRER: "New question, Senator Kerry. Two minutes. You've repeatedly accused President Bush, not here tonight but elsewhere before, of not telling the truth about Iraq. Essentially, of lying to the American people about Iraq. Give us some examples of what you consider to be his not telling the truth."
SEN. KERRY: "Well, I've never, ever used the harshest word as you just did." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

BUT IN DECEMBER 2003, KERRY TOLD NEW HAMPSHIRE EDITORIAL BOARD BUSH "LIED" ABOUT REASON FOR GOING TO WAR IN IRAQ. "Kerry also told a New Hampshire newspaper editorial board Friday that Bush had 'lied' about his reasons for going to war in Iraq, a word Kerry has been reluctant to use publicly for months. Yesterday he said he did not plan to use the word again." (Patrick Healy, "Kerry Camp Lowers N.H. Expectations Behind In Polls, Senator Now Seeks Spot In 'Top Two,'" The Boston Globe, 12/8/03)

AND IN SEPTEMBER 2003, KERRY SAID BUSH ADMINISTRATION "LIED" AND "MISLED." "This administration has lied to us. They have misled us. And they have broken their promises to us. The president promised to the people and the Congress that he would build an international coalition, respect the United Nations' process and only go to war as a last resort. I will tell you that from my war fighting experience, I believe there is a test for a president as to how you go to war. And that test is whether or not you can look in the eyes of parents and say to them, 'I did everything possible to avoid the loss of your son and daughter, but we had no other choice in order to protect the security of our nation,' and I know this president fails that test in Iraq." (Sen. John Kerry, Campaign Event, Claremont, NH, 9/20/03)

I don't know about Wisconsin as I don't live there. The guys in Texas though were two dumba*ses who thought it would be cool to play with some equipment.

Funny but someone else made the same comment on the live thread and unless I'm dreaming, I clearly heard him point out Kerry's vote AGAINST THE $87 BILLION. Perhaps he said it quickly and it might have been missed by some.

No, the Pres did mention the $87B during another question. I just felt it would have been more effective as a response to that particular statement. It was the first thing that came to my mind when Kerry said it.

Did anyone else notice when Horse face said he knew how it felt to lose men in combat? I don't recall ever reading about any casualties on his boat, other than F'n getting an arse full of Mahatma long grain.

" Bush built the container or the house to destroy Kerry.... Kerry is running water---- Bush let him run freely as he prepared the frames of the container to keep the aqueous behavior of Kerry... the house was successfully built...it is ugly and dirty work, that is why Bush worked so hard and let Kerry run.

The container was built on three key principles:
1. Kerry is a flip-flop politician
2. Kerry is a globalist proUN proWorld Court
3. Kerry is anti/weak on defense and poor for morale

Excellent analysis. I had a similar thought that Kerry was just adding more excellent ammo for the RNC. The better he did, the worse he did.

He also said that 90% of the casualties were American. I'm sure our Iraqi allies would have a different view.

Agree. I recall thinking Kerry had gaul to bring it up and GWB will blast him but I don't believe he was given a chance for rebuttal after the statement was made. Plan to watch the replay later.

Kerry characterizes the war as being the wrong one at the wrong time.

Kerry refers to our current allies as coerced and bribed.

Kerry lays claim to the expense paid by the Americans to prosecute this war on terror.

For the moment, I'll be the Republic of Whaddyalookinatmefor. What is in it for us when Kerry comes a-knockin' to rope us into paying for his personal political gains, giving up our lives and exposing ourselves to the terrorists?

This guy is a loon.

And I think I may have just insulted a whole species.

Oh, and it's a grand diversion, too.

That just has to cement the resolve of his buddies like France.

I don;t know. I think the "international test" was my favorite. Will it be essay or multiple choice?

"Kerry refers to our current allies as coerced and bribed."

the 1 million Polish people of Chicago are not going to be happy that Kerry claims the Poles were coerced and bribed. Maybe Illinois is in play.

John Kerry = Empty suit politician who will promise the world and deliver nothing... empty suit, empty promises. Can't forget Vietnam.

George W. Bush = Real Man, emotionally attached to 9/11 and will never forget, resolute, steadfast, purpose driven, Optimistic, Leader. Will never forget 9/11.

We are both right. Morris began by saying GWB won on substance, Kerry on style and then proceeded to cut GWB to shreds.

Look what Drudge is now reporting, which I as well as Guiliani missed: FLASH: Kerry stated: 'That's why they had to close down the subway in New York when the Republican Convention was there.' (Driving home point that Bush as not done enough to protect the country.)

The NYC subway did not close at all during the convention, according to a report on cable outlet NY1...

To Kerry and shortbrains like him, Poles and those of us of Polish descent are not the allies with whom he wishes to associate.

Kerry's "Global Test"?

Why, that's a multiple true or false essay, graded on the curve. Right up Kerry's greasy little alley.

On an interview with George Stephenopoulis (back in August), he stated in response to a question about the war (don't remember what it was), but he said "[Bush] is a liar." Even George was taken aback, although ABC hasn't shown that part of the interview, since.

WHY WOULD ANYONE SUGGEST WE ELIMINATE ANY WEAPON SYSTEM(NUCLEAR OR OTHERWISE) WHILE WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A WAR AND OUR TROOPS ARE IN HARM'S WAY?
