Sorry Howlin re your post #12. Even if the questions were all about Bush (and they should be. We would want them to be about Gore's record had he had been in the WH the last 4)the Prez had plenty of help and time to be prepared. He wasn't. He did better toward the end. He appeared more genuine. But until the last 10 or 15 mins during the split screens had a "how dare you question my record" look on his face. He looked hunched at the podium. He fumbled for words often. He kept repeating the talking points. He was the Al Gore of this years debate with his sighs and glaring looks.
It looked like the President got into Teresa's valium.
He was passionless and his long pauses were painful. He better get his act togther.
The problem is, this was supposed to be about which man would be best to lead us in this terrorist world we live in, not just Iraq. Of course we should have had questions about Kerry's record as well, and there were none, NONE. Foreign policy is so important, and I certainly recall Bush being taken to the woodshed when he was running for not knowing enough about it. Why was Kerry given such a pass?
You're right on. I'm starting to get concerned now. Monsieur Kerry looked well-composed and Bush didn't and that plays well into the minds of the American people. God help us all if Lerch succeeds in his bloodthirsty quest for power.
