To: Admin Moderator
Dubya just gace lurch about 10 - 12 gut punches in a row. Lurch gave a feeble response that just hit air.

Did anyone catch this...
Kerry criticized Bush for not transferring authority for Iraq to the UN after Baghdad fell?
Sounds like a major Gaffe by Kerry.

Well, it took 46 minutes, but Kerry got to his Vietnam service, by reference.

My favorite Kerry line:
"Don't confuse the war with the warrior."
???
How about not confusing the audience?

Bubya looks good. Kerry comes across as a lying blowhard.

Kerry, who was complaining that Bush didn't turn the whole shebang over to the UN, is upset that Bush had the Afghanis clean up their own country. Huh?

Settle down all you freepers! Kerry is a policy wonk who has studied debating all his life. Bush is a decent man who is doing right! Even if Kerry wins this slick debate by some measures, Bush will be reelected. As Dan R. used to say"courage"

Skerry's doing that pad scribbling thing Clintoon used to do, probably a grocery list.

Thank you all very much for your running commentary and pictures, from a t.v.-less freeper on a remote ranch in Texas.
My radio is wavering in and out of contact. Trying hard to listen. Thanks Jim, thanks all. So sorry I am not able to see the Tropicana Lots Of Pulp candiate.
Kerry is glib. Bush is coming and going with passionate statements and stumbling. But he's for real. He's better at telling stories. Bush is a storyteller. He's not naturally adept at debates. Storytelling is a different kind of wisdom, and deeper.

Bush needs more facts, but he just nailed Kerry on that national court. He should have confronted how the Kyoto treaty would affect our economy.

Hey, I was just got home and was listening to the debate on the radio. Bush was smoking Kerry on audio...how 'bout on TV?

Been watching for an hour.
Bush is like Reagen in that first debate. He sounds beleaguered, and his plaintive tone is unpresidential.
He is on the defensive, and is the LOSER in the debate. He invokes the extra reburral when he has lost the point, and doesn't know enough to let it go when he has little more to say.
I went in thinking Bush would be the powerful victor. but Kerry owns Bush in this debate.
I hope no intelligent undecided voters are watching!

believe that Gore is destroying Bush. I hate Gore and I know he's a disgusting liar. Don't delude yourselves. This ain't going well so far guys. I agree on all three counts.
Bush is missing opportunities, and Lehrer is letting Gore run the debate.
It is making me sick to watch.
