Thread 1 - Pre-Debate discussion
Bush did fine, Kerry was a better debater, but he didn't really answer what his plan (on any aspect) would be.
Bush stayed on message he missed a couple of zingers from
nerves but his theme came through, and I think the American
people were with him.
Kerry STILL touts his four months as a badge of leadership,
Also I didn't know he'd lost any men during his tour as he
stated.
I agree. We are not undecided here and those voting for Kerry will anyway. I didn't hear one person at work today say they were going to watch the debate tonight. They were all talking about how the debate was going to prempt some reality show they watch.
I doubt anyone stayed to watch the whole thing like we did, let alone comment and keep score. I didn't even watch the debates in 2000. I 'll bet alot didn't tonight.

I'll tell you what got W worst.
Same thing that makes good fighters lose fights, the same thing that makes many wise men stumble.
Kerry made him mad.
Look guys, I'm a charter member of the Grim FReeper Club and I thought it's Kerry race to lose (which he is doing a great job at it), but Bush is doing OK. Me think you want Bush to go over to Kerry and punch him. Slow and easy guys.
Not to use it as an insult, but W should have attacked on the issue- i think that lehrer, who knew the issue, knew that there was a great retort there and wanted to give it to W. W was not ready.
Truth is, Bush didn't need to win this debate on defense, he is already won that debate by public opinion.
Wrong...the next debate is the VP debate followed by two more Prez debates.
Great debate... Bush defined Kerry
1. Flip Flop
2. Globalist
3. Anti Defense
All Kerry said was
1. Iraq bad
2. Iraq bad
3. I was in Vietnam
4. Iraq not a mistake... even though bad.
btw, i hope the sheeple don't see it the way i do, and i hope tomorrow's press will be more gracious than i am, but...
I hope you are right but Bush didn't properly defend WHY he went to war with Iraq.
The thought of Kerry as President makes me ill.
Kerry made it clear that Iraq was a mistake which it wasn't. Bush should have driven home how when we are at war KERRY REFUSED A SUPPLEMENTAL. We were at war! Whether Kerry agreed with it or not - we don't punish our military with NOT giving them the equipment they need to be successful - Bush should have repeated that over and over again.
DRAW. Nobody changed their minds tonight.
I did not watch the debates. Could you and/or Sink give myself and the rest of us TV deprived folks a bit more in depth account of what happened? This doesn't sound good for Bush. Ping me if u decide to start a thread on this. Thanks!
Sure, and I invited Breck Girl here, but he declined.

Bush won this debate and I'm kind of surprised because he looked awful there for awhile.
You're right, it was a stupid and faithless post. Mea Culpa
