Thread 1 - Pre-Debate discussion
It's over. Thank you, Jesus!
And Yet Bush missed several chances to critisize that fact. He missed several chances to draw attention to Kerry's record. But he didn't. He doesn't seem to have those facts. He did not look good. I am so sorry about that. And hope that he will do better next time.
If this doesn't end his chances for all time then we are doomed.
After all this, Kerry still has not taken a stand and articulated exactly WHAT he would do differently.
He just repeated his campaign slogans.
I believe most will not remember what the candidates said tonight and will have to refreshed with the help of talk radio etc.
However, their mannerisms and ease in making their delivery is what voters see.
I think some "girly-persons" on this thread are Botox Implants from the DU.
Now it is up to the rest of the team FR,Rush, Hannity, Laura, Michelle..etc to send Bush in for a touchdown.
"That sob's finest hour, when he went into kgb hq an destroyed his and xlinton's files!@"-------exactly right! Would to God this comment would be heard over America's airwaves - can you get it to any of the allies in the new media? (Yes I know it is being READ here - but that information needs to be READ OUT LOUD and heard across this country's air waves).
All Kerry is saying is that he'd spend more money better than Bush. That's all he's got. Bush needs to remember that in the next debate when Kerry starts blowing his smoke.
I can see the polls now....Bush/Kerry = DeadHeat.
No one! I am a huge supporter. And I agree with many here in saying I personally don't give a dang if he can't debate, I like him as my leader.
I am just telling the truth as I see it -- he is losing the debate.
It dn't mean anything to me. And I will pray it means very little to anyone else.
Bush did not have to win. Kerry had to win BIG. He did not. Case Closed
These debates are always stacked against the incumbent. Democrats claimed that they made Carter look bad in 1980.

Agreed. The cringe factor from Bush tonight is very high.
Too repetitive. Too mundane. He could have killed Kerry five times (by my count) and let the opportunity pass.
He's got a good closing statement, but I'm afraid some people turned this off.
PRINT OUT AND TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS DEBATE.............take notes. Oooooooooo Bush: "The Military will be an all VOLUNTEER Military."
Kind of hard not to be defensive when someone keeps calling you a liar. I want to punch that fake orange traitor right in the mouth.
President Bush is a leader. He does not stray off-course. And he will win this election and because no matter what facts Americans know or don't know -- what's clear is President Bush's course to protect us all from harm; to liberate the oppressed; to bring a "global" peace through resolving what has been the HUGEST, THORNIEST hotspot on the Earth. N Korea is next on the burner. :)
" Kerry just did a major face plant, saying he would shut down the bunkerbusting nuke thingy as soon as he took office.
You pessimists were waiting for a screwup, hope you caught that one."
Yes ! I couldn't believe it when Kerry said that.
Bush's best moment.
