My wife had a good point. On Iraq kerry says we need other countries, but on N. Korea he says we need bilateral talks. He also says he would not go into Iraq where a madman was thought to hold WMDs, but seems to be ready to invade.....RUSSIA?
To: Tribune7
Absolutely! Kerry is not a nice person and it comes through.
So is Kerry planning to invade Russia to secure those nuclear sites? He's going to do it "in four years." Suppose Russia says no?
Here he goes he was at the KGB. Quoting George Will?
Kerry got in his "mission accomplish" jab in.
Leher asked the President about Kerry using the word truth - implying the President is a liar.
Now Kerry says it was the truth that Saddam was a threat. Iraq is an incredible mess, 200 billion dollars.

Lol, wonderful response. Thank you.
Some of us need to step away from the TV and computer screens and look at the big picture - the world post-9-11, remember the silence from the Democrats on 9-12 (how even Gore advisors were grateful for our faithful, unwavering - humane - President Bush.)

Right... What would cause this major Bump for John Kerry. Bush is doing great! After people go back and think about what has happened tonight- they are going to realize- Bush is going to protect us and Kerry is going to hypothesize. Nice try tho-

Tough for a straigh-talker to defeat the expert liar [lawyer] that EFnK is.
Lehrer pitched a softball to Bush asking if tehre were character issues that should keep Kerry from the presidency and he struck out,
This is sad.
But what is really sad is that there are those who are using this to make up their minds.
Our country is in trouble because it is half full of morons.
What a lot of you Freepers have to realize is that for many on the Right, they want Bush to run a negative, harsh smash mouth campaign. Since Kerry is doing that and Bush isn't they think "Kerry is winning" No, he isn't. See what those on the Right who want to punch back 20 times for every punch thrown by Kerry don't understand, Kerry isn't winning any in the middle tonight. That is no way to win the middle. Bush comes off as serious and mature, Kerry as a arrogant know it all. This performance by Kerry will not win him ANY votes with the Ladies. By his performance tonight Kerry just lost the election. See, many of you don't remember the Reagan-Mondale debates. All the "Experts" said the same thing about Mondale you all are saying about Kerry. The problem was while Mondale was wining the debate on style, Reagan was wining on substance. Kerry just lost the election because of his mean spirited negativity. Kerry needed to give us a "Softer gentler" Kerry and he blew it.

Kerry just flip flopped on Democracy. He said we don't need it in Iraq, we need security. But with Russia he said we should ALWAYS stand up for Democracy.
And how are we going to get security with out Democracy in Iraq. Will Kerry set up or support a dictatorship.

Kerry's face is self destructing.........the right cheek seems to be melting.
I think Bush wound up okay.......He started a bit shaky. Think not having a crowd he could see threw him for a bit. He likes to look at people.
Kerry is just pompous, and all the frantic hand waving is annoying.
Bush got a chuckle from the crowd at the end. Good for him!
I love this President!

I almost feel sorry for Bush. He has not done well while Kerry, despite his record of flip-flops has shown himself to be a good debater. He is a liar though I have to agree. Mr. Bush has done a terrible job in this debate. Absolutely terrible. Too many ums, uhs, stumbles, and restarts. He has appeared lost and confused with too many wandering thoughts.
Kerry has been focused, smooth, well-rehearsed....and absolutely full of crap. He has looked good and sounded good - a victory for a TV debate.
The Bush campaign will have to come out swinging against the blatant lies of Kerry to make up for this loss.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..............................

"Whoever prepared Bush needs to be shot. If he was just himself, he would have been fine."
Wrong! W is doing great! He is himself. I do detect a real irritation with Kerry's treason. That may be what you perceive as W's discomfort. But he is doing just FINE!
