Economy staggers, but Ohio leans to Bush Despite steep job losses, Kerry faces uphill battle in key state
Updated: 9:35 p.m. ET Sept. 29, 2004
CLEVELAND - If the presidential election in Ohio hinges on the economy, Sen. John Kerry should have a good chance of winning the crucial state and its 20 electoral votes. These are tough times in the Buckeye State, which was hit hard by the recession of 2001 and has continued to suffer even as most of the country has enjoyed a rebound in job growth.
Yet with just five weeks left before Election Day, President Bush holds an impressive lead in statewide opinion polls, suggesting either that Ohioans are willing to tolerate their states weak economy or that they are more focused on issues of war and homeland security.

Well it looks really close all right. Bush is only leading by 11 points.
How long before Kerry drops campaigning in Ohio?
elextoral-vote.com as of today still has Ohio in Kerry column...what is this about
sorry..meant...electoral-vote.com
Maybe electoral-vote.com is paying more attention to the massive voter fraud efforts to elect the king Fraud in Ohio than the mainstream media. We should be pestering Rush and Hannity and Malkin and whoever to start screaming to high heaven about this crap. And in Milwaukee, some leftist group was just busted for sending 30 THOUSAND applications for absentee ballots. How many weren't caught? This should be the top story right now.
Never. To concede Ohio would be to concede the election itself.
We seem to have dodged a bullet big time here. The Republicans in this state passed the largest tax hike ever a year and a half ago, and the economy was slammed just in time for this years elections.
Nobody is talking about it, the Democrats because they want to do it more (faster, harder) the Republicans because it their fault!
So instead, those in the press simply say "It's Bush's Fault(tm)"
