Noooooooooooooooooooo...Ike didn't "steal" the nomination from Taft and no matter how many times you so stubbornly keep repeating that,it just won't make it so.

Yes,the GOP is considered to be the more conservative of the two major parties;however,that does NOT make the GOP THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY,where moderates and Conservative,but not as Conservative as YOU want them to be,aren't also members in good standing.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh!

Ike was a write in candidate in NH and by-passed the normal procedures of being nominated.

The Conservative wing of the GOP, which was the dominant part of the Party would have likely rejected him had he gone through the normal nominating process.

I never said the Party would be as conservative as I would like it to be, but it should at least be guided by certain fundamental conservative principles (smaller gov't, individual responsibilty, U.S. sovereignity etc).

Maybe it would be a good idea to ease back on the caffine?
