Some Kentucky Democrats have called on Bunning to release his medical records, amid e-mails and telephone calls to Kentucky media outlets raising questions about his health. Some National Republicans have called on Kerry to release his military records, amid e-mails and telephone calls and Internet requests raising questions about his service in the Viet Nam war.
Sorry couldn't resist. I saw Jim pitch and do believe he should be in the HOF.

If that is the worst thing they can say about him, they are hurting.

He wasn't in the Johnson, Seaver or Clemens class, but I agree he deserves his plaque.

My friend was Bill Roth's campaign manager the year he lost primarily due to his age and ill health.

Jim Bunning is one of the few major league pitchers to have recorded at least 100 wins in both leagues. At the time this was a pretty rare accomplishment. I know that Cy Young did it before him; there have probably been several since players began moving around a lot more. But in that era, National League pitching stars didn't go to the American League until they were washed up. ;)

Ronald Reagan said something about not criticizing his opponent's youth and lack of experience in regards to Walter Mondale.
I'd imagine that bell would ring true in this case.

The Detroit one-two punch of starting pitchers Frank Lary and Jim Bunning is one of my all-time favorites.

The Detroit one-two punch of starting pitchers Frank Lary and Jim Bunning is one of my all-time favorites. I guess that you are not old enough to remember Hal Newhouser, Paul "Dizzy" Trout and Virgil "Fire" Trucks. Pity. They were the best.

Kentucky Democrats are losing their hold on everything. It's coming apart for them and they don't know what to do.
They are one election cycle from becoming the next Georgia where a earthquake will take place at the local legislative level.
