Bolaños won't yet mention news organization in his sights In today's Daily Buzz, we link a story about U.S. Rep. Joe Barton (R-Ennis) telling TV executives that, as chair of the House Commerce Committee, he is considering hearings on bias in television reporting and would consider laws regulating the industry.
Barton made his comments in the wake of CBS News' "60 Minutes" controversy. He may, therefore, not have had the Fox News channel in his sights. One man that possibly does, however, is El Paso Democrat Rick Bolaños, organizer of the Veterans for Kerry Caravan that is currently touring Texas.
At each rally, Bolaños, one of four brothers who served in Vietnam at the same time, blasts a "certain media outlet that claims to be fair and balanced." Fair and Balanced is Fox's slogan. Bolaños never mentions the corporation by name but says that when the caravan completes its tour in California on Oct. 11, "we will, as emerging Hispanic leaders, call for a boycott of a certain media group."
At a press conference in Austin Tuesday, Bolaños said that a certain media group "wanted to buy" the election for the Bush Administration. "I guarantee you that they are not being fair and balanced," Bolaños said.
Premere Impacto! is OFF my viewing list. Phhhhttttt!
Any info on these four brothers Viet Nam service?
That all it's about. He wants to be the brown Jesse Jackson.
The Bolaños brothers served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1969. As the only family to have four service members volunteer simultaneously in the Vietnam War, they have garnered notoriety throughout the nation.
who cares if the leftists boycott news for soothing propaganda? they evidently love the koolaid.
He'll miss Rebecca, I bet!
This guys deluding himself if he thinks certain friends of mine in South Florida will abandon Fox News, the official channel of the Biscayne Bay Young Republicans. I even think his fellow Chicanos will ignore him.
