ELECTION 2004 Posted: September 29, 2004 2:30 p.m. Eastern
© 2004 WorldNetDaily.com Though Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry today blamed his infamous comment about his vote on an $87 billion war bill on it being "late in the evening," the remark in fact was made at a noontime appearance.
In an interview this morning on ABC's "Good Morning America," Kerry was asked about the comment he made in March, when he said, "I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it." The remark has been used countless times by Bush supporters to ridicule Kerry and label him as a flip-flopper.
Said Kerry on the program today: "No, it wasn't classic at all. It just was a very inarticulate way of saying something, and I had one of those inarticulate moments late in the evening when I was dead tired in the primaries and I didn't say something very clearly."
Problem is, as the Republican National Committee pointed out, the comment about the bill, which provided funds for U.S. troops in Iraq, was actually made at a noontime appearance before a group of veterans at Marshall University in West Virginia.
The RNC jokingly chalked up the faux pas to the fact that when it's noon in West Virginia, it is 6 p.m. in Paris, France.
"Perhaps his watch was on Paris time," the RNC quipped in a statement.

He almost makes Clinton look like a straight shooter.
Kerry is like the old Abbott and Costello "who's on first, what's on second" bit....
LOL
noon... *flip*

baahahhahaa!
You know, if Kerry had been in Vietnam a little longer I'd think maybe he has a mental problem due to post traumatic stress syndrome or something.
Does he think we can't look this stuff up?
Great Article....yet another reason to vote for W!
I think he was still on Cambodia time...
(A mistake bit his sister once - seriesly...)
wow, I'm not sure America could afford to have a President who becomes dead tire by noontime.
Former President Clinton just has to be rolling his eyes and shaking his head at Kerry's ineptitude, regardless of whether he wants Kerry to lose or win.
wow, I'm not sure America could afford to have a President who becomes dead tired by noontime.
Maybe Kerry was trying to figure out Who's on first (Abbot and Costello).

C'mon people. You are being too harsh on Kerry. If Nixon can be president in December 1968, then noon can certainly be late in the evening. He's a time traveler. You peasants caught in the space-time continuum will never understand.

LOL!
There is that question about his health.
What a joke this guy is. This story is the joke of the day on Boston talk radio... That and his claiming he is a deer hunter who shot a buck that is bigger that the state record (no joke). Also made claims about running the Boston Marathon yet in one interview he said it was in the 70s and in another the 80s. The BM is especially hard and runners don't forget when they ran it.
