ELECTION 2004 Posted: September 29, 2004 2:30 p.m. Eastern
© 2004 WorldNetDaily.com Though Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry today blamed his infamous comment about his vote on an $87 billion war bill on it being "late in the evening," the remark in fact was made at a noontime appearance.
In an interview this morning on ABC's "Good Morning America," Kerry was asked about the comment he made in March, when he said, "I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it." The remark has been used countless times by Bush supporters to ridicule Kerry and label him as a flip-flopper.
Said Kerry on the program today: "No, it wasn't classic at all. It just was a very inarticulate way of saying something, and I had one of those inarticulate moments late in the evening when I was dead tired in the primaries and I didn't say something very clearly."
Problem is, as the Republican National Committee pointed out, the comment about the bill, which provided funds for U.S. troops in Iraq, was actually made at a noontime appearance before a group of veterans at Marshall University in West Virginia.
The RNC jokingly chalked up the faux pas to the fact that when it's noon in West Virginia, it is 6 p.m. in Paris, France.
"Perhaps his watch was on Paris time," the RNC quipped in a statement.

Kerry is an embarrassment to the Dims. He was to me. Yet another reason I let the party.
Liberals simply can't grasp the problem Lexis-Nexis poses to their incessant lying. - Ann Coulter
I love that!
Has Kamp Kerry issued a response to the RNC's joking about his time lie? That's been their usual thin-skinned reaction--issue a press release denouncing anything the Bush campaign does.
There is no person on this planet too disingenuous, mendacious, or sociopathic not to be loved by Democrats.
Botox Ketchupman is nothing short of a french idiot.
Done lost it good...
Said I lost that ol' election...
Like you knew I would..
Now everybody sing"....
How can he possibly think he will get by with that ridiculous remark?! "It was late in the evening..." Right, John, except you taped it in the afternoon.
These people must be so insulated in the everyday lives they think everyone else in the world will behave like their lackeys.
Kerry is an embarrassment to the Dims
Yes behind closed doors...but they will use every method honest or dishonest to support this boob. DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN......VOTE. And while your at it invite someone to go to the polls with you.
Is that a child's guitar he is playing?
Paris time, LOL.
I forced myself to watch the Kerry interview on GMA. As Diane announced that Kerry was coming on she giggled and squirmed like a highschool girl in heat. Oh, GOODY! Here comes Kerry! But her interview was not altogether softball. She asked some pertinent questions and, would you believe that Kerry gave unsatisfactory answers? Diane was clearly dissatisfied with his answers but didn't push him for further explanations. The interview must have been taped days ago, before JF'K turned orange.
I'm not sure I can bear to watch the debates tonight. I'm on the left coast, so perhaps will check in here before they come on to see how good or bad they were. Here's a hope, wish, and prayer that W does himself--and us--proud.
the debate is tomorrow FYI...
Kerry is "I Don't Know" (3rd base).
Heh, heh..
Hey, Jacques! Orange you glad you accepted the nomination??
Snicker..
Thanks especially for:

LOL. Another good reason not to watch the debate tonight.

When it's noon in West Virginia, it's 11:00 p.m. in Vietnam, so maybe Kerry's watch is still set to Vietnam time.
