I read this article this morning - very good. However, I kept looking for an instance of an actual kill from one of the snipers, and there were none.

A customer of mine is the proud father of a Seal who was/is in Iraq. For a short time he was in Baghdad, and nearly every night their camp came under sniper fire. The Seal offered to stand watch. After a while he saw a muzzle flash and in one shot took out the sniper. AT 1136 YARDS! How cool is that!

Hoss asks the Iraqi policemen to send a car out to patrol the area. In a combination of broken English and pantomime, they tell Hoss the police car is out of gas.The writer inplies the Iraqi police are being uncooperative, but given what these snipers' potential targets were actually up to, perhaps it was more a matter of lack of effective communication. Its a difficult situation our guys are in.
