As a regular donor to the Komen Foundation--this tears it! They've seen the last of my donations!

Good to know this now. I believe Komen sponsors the race for the cure.

My wife has quite a few Komen organized cancer walk t-shirts for her participation in the effort to "Find a Cure for Cancer"!
If she had know some of the money she raised was going to planned parenthood, she probably would not have participated and she will definitely not be going next year if I can help it.

Yoplait occasionally gives money to Komen based on customers sending in their pink Yoplait lids. I think we need to let Yoplait know that those funds are being unknowingly used for abortion funding and not breast cancer research. Perhaps Yoplait can convince Komen that funding abortion is not the best use of funds intended for cancer research. My grandmother had breast cancer and I support breast cancer research, but I can no longer support the Komen Foundation given their financial support of abortion.

I won't even send them my stupid yogurt tops.

Please consider supporting the American Cancer Society instead. They do a lot of great work with breast cancer survivors, including their Reach to Recovery program, which partners breast cancer survivors with those who have just had a breast removed to help them get over the emotional loss.

So, what this means is that generous donors who think they are helping women with breast cancer, may actually be subsidizing abortion?
This is outrageous.

My local organization here expressed its denial when challenged on this point in the form of a letter which I can't get to from here unfortunately, the gist of which states that they (Komen) audits the PP relationship and the fund flow carefully. They assured me that none of their funds were being used to support abortion practices at PP.
IMO if my Komen funding helps keep the lights on at PP its supporting abortion. PP isn't the monolith it is today by charging for the hour for parenthood counseling. They don't make a dime unless an abortion is performed. Its the core of their business model. Our tax dollars even support it, which infuriates me beyond the capacity of words to express it (written or spoken).
I will be sending this resignation notice far and wide to my circle of pro-life friends, and everyone I know who has participated in the Komen Race or as a contributor.
Abortion = The American Holocaust.
The nightmare continues...

The more women getting abortions, potentially the more women with breast cancer.
The more women with breast cancer, the more Komen's efforts are needed.
Is Komen, by its pro-choice provision of funds to Planned Parenthood, assisting in the "manufacturing" of the problem, thereby ensuring its organization's continuing relevance?

What incredible deception!
Your bride works, literally by the sweat of her brow, to help fund research for a terrifying disease, yet the very organization for whom she dedicates her efforts participates, by its funding, in the "manufacturing" of the very victims it is supposed to be helping!
Deception is of the devil - he's a liar and the father of it.
Much thanks to your beloved for her care.

My response to the "all the money will go to" or "none of the money will go to" is that money is a fungible asset. A dollar is a dollar is a dollar. If you put dollar in with a bunch of other dollars in a pot that supports A and B, you can not say if your dollar pays for A and not B.
They play this game with taxes. "Support the $0.5 property tax increase and all the money goes to the schools" Those tax dollars then go in the revenue bucket with all the other tax monies that in turn gets allocated in the budget. As long as the schools get as much or more that the increase in tax revenues then they claim every dollar is going to schools even if the schools don't get a dime more that they did before the tax increase. Only now the politicians have more dollars to play with for their own pet projects.
The same goes for charities. Komen is playing this game with Planned Parenthood: just because not every dollar PP collects goes to abortion, Komen thinks they can get off saying they don't give to abortion. However, because PP non-abortion services have been 'funded by Komen', they are free to spend more of their other resources on abortion. Money to PP ultimately means more money to fund abortions because abortion is a major part of the PP mission.

I don't understand why Komen would think they have the right to make donations to ANY organization that wasn't doing research on breast cancer. That seems like a GROSS misuse of their funds. I would even think it might, or at should be, illegal. I don't think people that donate to Komen know that their money is being spent this way.

Another example of how evil so many of these phoney non profits are.
Fund PP so they can do more abortions which can relate to more breast cancers, so this non profit can get more donations for the execs who control the non profit.
