Prayer vigil for Terri Schindler-Schiavo

We are planning a prayer vigil for Terri. What we'd like to do is cover the time of the next hearing (to be held Thursday 9/30/04) for Terri in prayer. We'd like to have some help from other Freepers who might be interested in praying for Terri for an hour.

Greer usually takes a week to decide and he usually rules against the Schindlers

If he does, since they're saying that pulling the tubes goes against their religion (which it does), they may be able to overturn it on religious grounds. Whoever finally thought to use the Schindlers' religion on this was brilliant. Too bad they didn't think of it before. This could go to the Supreme Court.

No, the Schindlers did try this before, only Felos had some Catholic priest say that it wasn't against the church teachings to remove life support. Now that the Pope has come out to definitively say that food and water is not extraordinary means but ordinary, everything should change. Keep praying partners!

I think someone took the 7 to 8 slot. I'll take whatever time slot is left. I'm going to a chapel at a Catholic Church this evening to spend time praying for Terri and for all those who are praying for her and her family.

"Felos had some Catholic priest say that it wasn't against the church teachings to remove life support..." The Catholic priest was Fr. Gerard Murphy of St. Petersburg. Fr. Gerard was killed last spring when a car ran over him in a parking lot in Tampa.
