We are planning a prayer vigil for Terri. What we'd like to do is cover the time of the next hearing (to be held Thursday 9/30/04) for Terri in prayer. We'd like to have some help from other Freepers who might be interested in praying for Terri for an hour.

It all began when the Pope started speaking specifically about Terri just this year. I could be wrong on when he first came out with a statement on euthanasia and even more specifically starvation but per the Pope, a Catholic would not go for assisted suicide because it's against all their beliefs and is no different than suicide. The Southern Baptist Convention also came out with a statement but Terri's not a Baptist.
I've been wondering if this was all part of God's plan to try and get through to Greer. The case going through the channels up to the Supreme Court allowed Greer to be challenged in the election. I do believe that God can change Greer's steely heart and they know that there is a petition to have him impeached. It ought to be very clear to Judge Greer by now that a lot of attention is on him, how he rules compared to the statutes etc. It would certainly be great timing for him to do the right thing! That's what we're praying for!!

Lord,
Judge Greer's heart is in your hand. We humbly beseech you to turn his heart toward Terri and toward righteous judgement for her and against the evil which would kill her.
