My name is Jack Stoddart, and I'm traveling the country shooting a documentary about patriotic young Americans willing to join the service by filling out enlistment papers on camera to be submitted on the spot. So far response in rural southern areas has been good, but I have had no luck with responses from more affluent areas of the country. Is there anyone from your organization that is willing to join an active branch of the military as an act of love for country...on camera to be included in a full length traveling documentary? Keep in mind that I am including all responses and lack of responses as part of this film.

Why doesn't the filmmaker just go to a military entrance processing station (MEPS)? He can find hundreds upon hundreds of young people who want to join. It might make an excellent movie, in the hands of a talented film maker.
This seems more like "baiting" to me. He's looking for what libs like to call "chicken hawks"
yeah, call the local recruiter and hook up with them.
they would probably be happy to assist.
i would help you out if i could, but i'm pushing 40 and have been out of the navy for years (or, as i used to say, I've paid my debt to society)
How abour offering up some proof of your intentions before you waste our time reading your post?
Unless I'm mistaken, the freeper who posted this is not the filmmaker. The guy who posted this is keeping us informed about something going on in the world -- what freepers are supposed to do for each other. So I think it's a good post.
Yeah, it does seem like he's baiting. But without knowing more, it's hard to sense his agenda.
Like you say, he could be looking to call people chicken-hawks.
But from the sound of the email, he might also be trying to show a contrast between the patriotic attitudes in the red-state south, compared to the anti-American feelings in affluent blue-state areas.
It's hard to say.
Or he could be trying to make the liberal argument that we have an "economic draft" in this country -- that the job opportunities in rural areas are so rotten that young people are forced into the military. The "economic draft" argument is one of those stupid and un-patriotic ideas that liberals never get tired of repeating.
You are right. My apologies to paltz, it is a good post.
Mr.Newbie. I am not the film maker. I am simply posting an email being sent around anonymously. Please learn to use the freeper profiles before you accuse someone of being a troll...k?
1st of all casched posts can appear much later than when actually posted...so apology accepted in that respect. 2nd'ly implication of my intentions and "WASTING EVERYONE'S TIME" Before you start strutting around acting like you've been here since FR started, you might want to check up on the basic posting etiquette, and give credibility those who know the rules better than you.
"WASTING EVERYONE'S TIME" was meant for filmaker, not you, so I apologize again.
If your premise is that those who love their country and are of age should show that love by enlisting, does the fact that you yourself (assuming you're of an age) are not in the military (another assumption) mean that you do not love your country?
See how ridiculous the premise of your project is, Jack, when it's turned on you?
This guy sounds like Michael Moore Junior.
He's been e-mailing conservative groups all over the country, and when you google his name nothing appears. The production company doesn't exist either. Looks like some student film maker out to make his 15 minutes. Nothing but a hack...and will slander conservative organizations in the process.
