President Bush has joked that John Kerry should debate himself. I've got a similar suggestion for Bill O'Reilly of Fox News. He should interview himself. He has achieved financial success by appealing to conservatives, but went on the CBS 60 Minutes show last Sunday sounding like a liberal. He told the program that he is pro-gun control, anti-death penalty, and pro-gay adoption "as a last resort." O'Reilly also offered the opinion that conservative critics of the Al Gore theory of global warming are "idiots."
A self-described "journalist" who dismissed Rush Limbaugh as a mere "entertainer," O'Reilly told Mike Wallace of 60 Minutes that he might vote for John Kerry, whom he described as a "patriot" he has known for 25 years. O'Reilly denounced the Swift Boat vets' ads against Kerry as "awful" and "terrible."
Nine days earlier, however, on his own "O'Reilly Factor" show on the Fox News Channel, O'Reilly had said that Kerry acted in a "craven" manner when he came back to the U.S. after the Vietnam War "by besmirching all the fine soldiers in Vietnam" when he called them war criminals. While interviewing John O'Neill, co-author of the anti-Kerry book, Unfit for Command, O'Reilly said, "I enjoyed your book."
Some observers suspect that O'Reilly, after having secured an interview with President Bush, is desperate to get an interview with Kerry before the election. In fact, when Kerry advisor James Carville appeared on his show on September 23, O'Reilly virtually begged Carville to set up a Kerry interview for him.

Just turn O'Reilly off, sending him back to the tabloid T.V. world he came from.
O'Reilly. The emperor has no brains.
His begging for a Kerry interview is getting really quite pathetic.
It just goes to show that Bill has no character or conviction. He's made money off the conservative movement, and now he figures to do the same with the liberal movement. I won't watch or buy anything connected with Bill!
Yeah..... I quit watching him a while back.
O'Reilly dismissed Limbaugh? Bwahahahahahah.
The WMB (Weapon of Mass Bloviation) is just trying to ramp up sales on his new book. Ignore him.
i understand he is trying to be "independant" but damn
the swift vets have been rock solid since day one, and his lefty pandering will not get him the interviews he wants.
oreally is selling out in order to be liked.....to bad he is selling out his viewers.
The O'Kerry Factor is old news and old media. Hannity is outdoing him by a landslide on the radio and edging him out on the tube. The No Spine Zone is far more interested in getting the interview nowadays than in getting the story. O'kerry has forgot who brung him and is dancing with those who despise him.
O'Reillys first and basically only concern is ratings, thats why he wants a Kerry interview. My analysis he's right/ moderate but is getting so bombarded by the left for being ultra coservative that he compensates by trying to give the impression that he is not. His chances of voting for Kerry are less than nil

Who watches O'Reilly any more he is so pompous and full of s***, it is torture to listen to his tripe, he "might vote for Kerry" speaks volumes about this boob.
O'Rielly trys to walk the fence, but I think he has missed his footing a few times... Ouch!
But even if that's true (which I doubt), what kind of "journalist" is he? What purpose does he serve other than his own ego.
After watching him give that soft-ball interview to Rosie O'Donnel some time ago, I realized that ole Billy is just in it for the money & fame. The man has no real principles apparently and an earlier poster was 100% correct, Billy is more than happy to sound somewhat conservative to get us to watch. The man is untrustworthy, two-faced, and opportunistic. I've turned him out & don't plan to go back. Let the other tree-hugging, global warming freaks (as he is one) watch his show. Somehow I don't think that that will happen...
What Bill will find out someday is that the middle ground he is looking for is populated by 8% of the country. Why would one go after an 8% market, when you could potentially play to the 45% of either side???
Hes not a journalist he is an anylist....and frankly as few right of center of those that are out there i put up with him...i am stauncly conservative and find myself agreeing with him about 2/3rds of the time...hes is however undoubtedly an egotistical blowhard
I'm Looking Out For Me
