[history]
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Barack Obama, a little-known state senator from Chicago's South Side, shot to public notice this summer when he keynoted the Democratic National Convention in Boston.
Now Obama stands on the edge of election by a landslide to the U.S. Senate. He would become the first black male Democrat elected to the Senate, and overnight he could become a party heavyweight.

Obama is most certainly not prolife. He is so extreme on the issue he even favors allowing children to be killed after they are born.

The FReepers Against Conservatives ad hominem Olympics, it seems.
How about this? Would you like a thread just for everyone who wishes to spew out invectives against Alan Keyes?
I'll ping Jim Rob to that. Jim, would you like to create a thread for anyone who wishes to harangue against Alan Keyes, so they can vent, fume, and mock?
Or would that be too selfish and hedonistic of the rest of us?

If someone got so annoyed at this that he typed some outburst, it shows how irritating and revolting that is.I see. "You made me hit you." LOL - unreal.

I agree. And I honestly think that's part of the problem.

Obama is pro-abortion!!!! He voted in April 2002 allowing live birth abortions in Illinois.

Sorry your feelings are hurt, but out of 12,600,000 people in Illinois you'd think you can find one person to run against Obama if he's a vulnerable as you think he is.

How about giving us a break on the Keyes campaign? There are many of us who would rather have Keyes as a Senator than Obama. Yes, it's a long shot, but we'd like to try it anyway being as there was no Illinois Republican willing to take it on. Besides, why do the Democrats dirty work for them?
Thanks,
Jim

Yeah, but I'm not an abuse-hitting weenie (in a situation like that). I am more inclined to hit it to report a troll or something, like a photo, that I know the A/M would need to pull.
So if you ever want to tell me to go to hell, go for it. : )
To: Jim Robinson
You're the boss. Keyes mittens on.

"Obama is pro-infanticide."And he has the tan and charm to be a big pain for a long time to come.

Keyes is a man yielded to God, and thus a conduit with unfathomed potential. Unfortunately, unless he can actually win an election, it's a potential unrealized.
Not a very good testimony for God IMHO.

Hey I live in Mexifornia and know exactly what has happened to states such as mine...fact is that a strong conservative cannot be elected in this state as it is currently constituted...like it or not the truth is the truth

Which means, until Nov. 2nd, only black male republicans have been elected to the Senate. Ed Brooke from MA is the only one who springs to mind. This was back in the late 60s, 70s. (I believe he spoke at Hillary's Wellesley graduation, and she managed/contrived to insult him in her valedictory.)

Unfortunately, unless he (Keyes) can actually win an election, it's a potential unrealized. Not a very good testimony for God IMHO. Just back after a few weeks of waiting on God to do his thing.
...So, potential is unrealized if unelected? NOT.
Does God need his men to get elected for him to be glorified in their lives? Jesus didn't seek to be a majority favorite, and we, the few, on the narrow road are called to follow after him.
