ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- New York's state Democratic Party chairman derided President Bush on Monday as "simple" and "that simplistic gentleman up there in the White House with his one- and two-syllable answers."
The attack from state Assemblyman Herman Farrell came as New York's Democratic leadership gathered to discuss how to rally rank-and-file party members.
"Life is not simple. If it were simple, anybody could be president," Farrell said in a speech to members of the party's state committee. "As a matter of fact, simple is president."
There was no immediate comment from the Bush campaign or from the Republican State Committee.

Same old democrat spew - insult Bush and expect that to rally everyone around them. Maybe that's why NY is in play now - did you ever think that alot of NYers are sick of democrats and their insults?

Simple is another way of saying direct, forthright, etc.
They don't like his direct approach, not enough room for them to manuever.

There was no immediate comment from the Bush campaign or from the Republican State Committee. Why bother commenting? Bush should convey the message that he does not bother responding to the childish opinions of worthless peons.

Simple is good. Simple gets votes. "Keep it simple, stupid!"
Better than incoherent, I say.

No, Bush won't acknowledge the comment. He doesn't cry foul when 527's attack him non-stop for a year or when the entire Democratic party throws everything in their dirty bag of tricks at him.
Case in point - yesterday Kennedy said Bush makes it more likely we will be nuked. Remember the flap when Chenney said we would be more likely to face more terrorist attacks under Kerry? Bush didn't comment on the Kennedy remark and he won't comment on this. He is a MAN not a poutty baby.

Yep, when Islamo-Facists want to kill all of us, it really is simple to understand.

It goes back and forth. Perhaps it's part of the flip-flop policy. One week the President is "simple" (meaning simple-minded) and the next, he is the evil genius, concocting all these elaborate plots against the "poor innocent" 'Rats.
I think the trouble the 'Rats are having is that the President is playing high stakes poker, and they're still playing "Go Fish."

A lot of his contemporaries thought Abraham Lincoln was an imbecile, too.

"that simplistic gentleman up there in the White House with his one- and two-syllable answers."Well, at least he isn't like that junior senator from mass who is extremely condescending and talks down to people (like most dumocrats), or like that junior senator from NY who talks so s-l-o-w-l-y to the unwashed masses to be sure they understand her.

I guess that's why a majority of Al Gore's New York supporters said,
"THANK GOD GEORGE W. BUSH IS THE PRESIDENT
on Sept. 11, 2001!
To: areafiftyone
There was no immediate comment from the Bush campaign or from the Republican State Committee. That's because they never heard of Herman Farrell.

A lot of his contemporaries thought Abraham Lincoln was an imbecile, too. Correct! And alot of the newpapers portrayed him in cartoons as ape-like just like the Dems on the liberal forums call Bush chimpy. Lincoln turned out to be one of the greatest presidents and so will Bush!

Hillary seen here employing the Lewinsky Method while scarfing a street weenie at a political function. Bill has requested that she NOT use this technique when he is in the area lest he have to quickly repair to the nearest lavatory usually doubled over with his hat over his lap -- to avoid embarrassing himself (like THAT is a problem for Mr. Humiliation!).
NEVER FORGET: THESE PEOPLE MUST NEVER AGAIN INFEST THE WHITE HOUSE!

This guy doesn't understand the difference between speaking 'simply' and someone who's a 'simpleton'. So, let's help him out..
Mr Farrell, Bush is a man that speaks 'simply'.
You sir, on the other hand, are a 'simpleton'.
Seems to me there's another Farrell that fits this description.
