No doubt. And it's a great plan even if it doesn't stop enemy crossings.
I fear plugging that security hole will require more than many are willing to pay, unfortunately. I don't think outright shooting anyone approaching a militarized border will work, even if one could justify it morally. (I couldn't)
What I've wondered is if we couldn't place simple sensors along the border, that would alert border patrol officers in the air where a breach has occurred...
That might be crazy, (anyone know?) but it seems it would be more feasible if there were fewer attempts as a result of the Fair Tax.
May be no crazier than the situation we have now, though. ; )
