It's obviously not an invasion in the military sense of the word and a military response is not appropriate.

If 300 of them decided to enter your house, illegally, uninvited, use your water, electricity, eat your food, borrow your car, run up the phone bill, use your credit cards to fraudulently make purchases, maybe one of them rapes your neighbor, as another 200 enter her house uninvited, she goes to the hospital and has to wait in line behind 200 more illegals, and then, each month the government comes along and tells you to pay for all this.

If this is not an invasion, what do you call it Jim?

Not sure I agree. They are well armed and well organized here in LA. And they not afraid to use them.

And I think breaking a countries Federal Immigration Laws, Driving Illegally, Driving Uninsured, Working Illegally, et al ... is something that requires a fairly strong reaction.

If they don't want a military response, they don't have to come. It's 100% their decision.

I'm not talking about invading Mexico, i'm talking about protecting our national borders. "Please don't break our state and federal laws" hasn't seemed to be an overwhelming success.

Oh, and 600 gang murders last year in the city limits of LA alone. Who knows what it is nationwide.

I'm not 100% sure on how you define "military invasion". But I would be willing to be that the yearly illegal Mexican violent crime victim totals make 9/11's numbers look underwhelming.

Not as dramatic, but no less destructive.

Yes, Mexicans shot for crossing over for work or handouts would be definite overkill.

But it seems to me that we are at war with those whose primary strategy and goal is to enter our homeland and attack our citizens. In that case, it is the definition of "invasion".

One could say that under those circumstances, military patrol as a constitutional imperative.

I understand that the solution isn't easy. I do not understand accepting the vulnerability. Heck, at least pull all those DEA agents off that wasted and unconstitutional effort and make them do BP instead. ; )
