First Print Story on the Outing of Congressman David Dreier on the Internet
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- San Gabriel Valley Congressman David Dreier is the latest GOP member to be outed as a homosexual Republican by Mike Rogers, former development director for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, and his blogactive.com Web site. Doug Ireland, longtime radical political journalist, media critic and self-described purveyor of "investigative opinion," defends the outing and assesses Dreier's political future in this first discussion of the outing in the print media. Already Ireland's story has caused a stir. Several radio stations have called Ireland for comment and many are debating whether Ireland should have kept the story on the Internet. "I have not the slightest doubt that the outing campaign initiated by Mike Rogers' blogactive.com and supported by Raw Story's reporting is accurate in exposing Dreier," Ireland insists. "Moreover, in the course of reporting this story, I talked to a gay member of Congress who has observed Dreier in gay behavior and is 100% sure, as this member told me, that Dreier is gay. And, clearly, Dreier's demagogic political homophobia justifies reporting the outing campaign targeting him."

No, they don't.
G'night, God bless and may the Lord touch Mr. Dreir - He don't want him lying with men or fornicating in any way...Jesus touch Mr. Dreir, that he separates himself for the time he needs to get himself in order, Lord. In Your name, amen...
Yep, that's maturity.
I thought you were going to bed?
I guess that means that there is a place for us in your newly repackaged Republican family?!
Where's my log cabin...I want my log cabin right now...!
Are you sure you're on the right web site? This is a conservative forum, not a whiny liberal one.
Definition written by MAN...TRUTH written by GOD...again, I refer you to your B-I-B-L-E...
I was, but all of a sudden I got a tad ticked off and miraculously came out of brain fart fog. You understand?
Lots of water-kerryers on this thread ;-)
I'd pay good money to see you in that log cabin.
And I won't say you are being deliberately judgmental
Unless I didn't get the memo, you don't speak for God.
Good night, and God bless, and may God keep each of us from, and forgive us our own respective temptations and sins. Amen.
I think you pretty much summed it up in a nutshell...good job!
It's called "missing your window of opportunity." :-)
Yes, there are, aren't they?
And it's always the same ones, with a few newbies drug along.
These are the ones that hope Bush loses.
Oh GOODY!
Can it have a nice gate with a path, and pretty chintz curtains...?!
You don't consider a lifetime ACU rating of 92 impressive? Sorry... thought this was a conservative forum.
Speaking of closet gays...
Don't have to quiz much...just look who paid for the lawyers to get Elian G. back to Cuba. It was the Methodist Church.
My Mom's family was Methodist; Grandma was a lay-minister. The woman read the good book from cover to cover probably 100 times. She disagreed with much of the "change" in the church in her later years (she passed on a few years ago).
