Pointedly criticizing the major Democratic presidential candidate for failing to support same-sex marriage, Rep. Dennis Kucinich said Tuesday in San Francisco that the matter is a "fundamental civil rights issue ... that shouldn't even be a close question.''

"I can't, for the life of me, understand why I'm the only one who's taking this position with such emphasis,'' Kucinich said following a speech and question-and-answer session at the Palace Hotel sponsored by the Bar Association of San Francisco. "We have to be courageous in protecting people's rights ... and I don't think people should expect any less from a president.''

When did Kucinich escape from Abu Ghraib?

What does his district encompass? It's Cleveland, right? But what areas that he could afford to be so whacko left?

"'I can't, for the life of me, understand why I'm the only one who's taking this position with such emphasis,' Kucinich said."

Hence, the failed Kucinich campaign....

Dennis the Menace used to have to pretend to be pro-life to get re-elected. Yes, Lakewood is in his district...but ,ost of the rest is blue collar west side.

Then again, he may have an ulterior motive.

It is the westside of Cleveland with some significant Republican suburbs. Kucinich defeated a Republican congressman, Martin Hoke, to get the seat. A lot of Reagan democrats, which is why Kucinich was pro-life and anti-gay marriage PRIOR to running for President.

Hoke previously defeated Mary Rose Oakar who was a mostly pro-life Democrat.

Does anyone know how this district voted in the Gore-Bush race???

District 10. Gore 55/Bush 45.

Knocking off Dennis the Menace is possible.

Well, since no women want him, he has little choice... after he is rejected by every gay male across the globe, he will then defend the case for human/farm animal marriages...
