I was having an argument with another FReeper about how many of the old timers were still around. I tell people there is a FReeper vsyndrome and that most of them are still around, they just don't post much anymore.
Here is your chance to put these rumours to rest. Chime in and let everyone know you still are alive and kicking. Post your registration number if you know it.
Still alive and kicking, but ducking hurricanes in Florida now

And that means something? I've had three different computers since then and three different logins. I can't even remember what my first screen name was.
Don't know the number, but checkin' in, boss.
Hi. I'm still here, but have forgotten what my number is.
Not an oldie, but the recent Buckhead/pajamahadeen fluury of signups made me nostalgic for the election 2000 fiasco signup flurry (under a different name) of which I was a part.
I should probably start another thread, but I am interested in hearing from others what event if anything led them to sign up?
Anyone can do this. Go to URL http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/user-posts?id=xxx where xxx = the old ID of the Freeper to see who's left. Take a range of ID numbers, say 10,000 - 19,999 and sample 100 numbers (a 1% sample).
It would be great if there were volunteers who could do this and plot the results over time.
That's my bike combination too.
#5011 reporting for duty.

T'was Michael you-know-who's posts that drew me to FreeRepublic. I had heard about a body count....

Don't know the number, but my incept date says 8/28/98.
Wow, six years on FR, and I was a lurker before that.
The only thing that really seems that long ago was Elian, but this is not the place to rehash that debate.
Click on your screen name, then select 'in forum'
The number following id= in the URL is your signup number
