TOMMY FRANKS' No.2: "IRAQ's WMDs IN SYRIA, LEBANON, IRAN"
WMCA - New York ^ | 9.26.2004

Posted on 09/26/2004 4:59:03 PM PDT by KMC1

(Excerpted)"...According to DeLong - U.S. Military Intelligence had been able to determine that WMDs were smuggled out of the country as U.S. military forces were preparing to liberate Iraq. DeLong made the remarks to New York talk radio listeners:

"I do know for a fact that some of those weapons went into Syria, Lebanon, and Iran."

"Two days before the war, on March 17th, we saw through multiple intelligence channels - both human intelligence and techinical (satellite, eavesdrop) intelligence - large caravans of people and things, including some of the top 55 Iraqis, going to Syria."

We also know that before then, they buried some of the weapons of mass destruction. There are also some in Lebanon and probably a small amount in Iran."

"To smuggle the weapons would not require large vehicles."...(Much more - read to the end)

It'd be nice if irrefutable proof of this could be presented before the election.

"I do know for a fact that some of those weapons went into Syria, Lebanon, and Iran."

Many a Freeper has been saying that since the day that the US went into Iraq. Not provable but I know we were way ahead of the curve on this one.

Israeli intelligence and press were reporting this prior to the invasion, even linking the transfer to Assad's sister and brother in-law, and the facility in Syria where they were placed, NE of Damascus.

Post Saddam investigation links truck movements to changeover of Iraqi border guards with Saddam's personal guard.

Assad's brother in-law recently linked to effort to sell Iraqi nuclear scientists and data to Iranians.

tick...tick...tick...

Assad has nominal control over his sister and brother in-law, who is high in national security police, and power behind the throne.

Winds of War are brewing, with Israeli bunker busters, and missile/nuke frantic work in Iran and North Korea.

You just might, if North Koreans and Iranians press their luck. Another missile launch across the Japanses home islands would get their attention a whole lot quicker than it did in 1998.

Neither Iran nor N. Korea, for all their bluster, are not brave gamblers... action prior to our election would result in war a second and third front in WW IV.

If we (U.S.) KNEW that WMD from Iraq was moved out of Country and was at this or that location within Syria, Lebanon or Iran we would go in and secure it.

That is a fact - What we have is "intelligence services" saying we "suspect" some WMD from Iraq must have went to Syria, Leb, or Iran -

Those are two completely different things -

The world is safer because Saddam has been removed from power. Saddam had all the capabilities to produce WMD (which has been verified since his removal in the Kay Report) - Saddam never made the strategic decision to abandon his WMD capabilities program -

Thus after 9-11 it was necessary to remove him - Now that freedom and self-worth are taking hold in Iraq, in the years to come these values will spread throughout the Middle East and the World will be better because of it -

Thank god for the leadership of G.W. Bush.

Dont forget the much celebrated by the left Dr. Kay said the same damn things!!!

Saddam's WMD hidden in Syria, says Iraq survey chief
http://tinyurl.com/create.php
David Kay, the former head of the coalition's hunt for Iraq's weapons
of mass destruction, yesterday claimed that part of Saddam Hussein's
secret weapons programme was hidden in Syria.

In an exclusive interview with The Telegraph, Dr Kay, who last week
resigned as head of the Iraq Survey Group, said that he had uncovered
evidence that unspecified materials had been moved to Syria shortly
before last year's war to overthrow Saddam.

"We are not talking about a large stockpile of weapons," he said. "But
we know from some of the interrogations of former Iraqi officials that
a lot of material went to Syria before the war, including some
components of Saddam's WMD programme. Precisely what went to Syria,
and what has happened to it, is a major issue that needs to be
resolved."

From Day 1, we should have had the 4th & 3rd ID head for Damascus and Tehran. Then leave and let their Allah sort it out. If we do'nt like the outcome, we can change their Allah's wishes...

I have said this since before we bombed Baghdad. The convoys out of Iraq said this loud and clear to me.
Glad to see that for once my paranoia is well placed.

"Iran? Oh God, no!"

Come on, these are the people that had an eight-year war with Iraq and couldn't win. They were down to using children to clear mine fields.

How long did it take the US to whomp Iraq's army?
