REQUEST FOR SURVEY QUESTIONS: Who are the Stupid Voters

I am looking for questions to include in a survey that I hope to have answered by the University of Missouri community – please read this proposal and critique. Suggest questions or methods:

One of the great claims of radical Liberals, is that Bush voters only support Bush because they are either stupid,or ignorant and uninformed.

I intuitively know that it is the radical Left that is ignorant and uninformed and I sometimes go so far as to call them the stupid ones.

This bit of name-calling does nothing to settle the issue – but I think there is a way to settle this issue of “Who are the Stupid Voters?”

I live close to University of Missouri – Columbia, and I know a few people that work for this University that might be interested in my proposal:

I would like to produce a short list of survey questions to ask the University community, ask each participant who they intend to vote for and then tally which candidate’s voters are the stupid ones. I STRESS – THAT THESE QUESTIONS MUST NOT BE ANYTHING OTHER THAN VERY ELEMENTARY QUESTIONS – AND MUST BE FORMED IN SUCH A WAY THAT ANY BIAS IS ABSENT.

Here’s how I envision this might happen:

1) Set up a couple of tables – one table to organize the question sheets and the other table so the participants can sit and answer the questions. Arrange this second table so that the participants are discouraged from asking for help with the questions.

2) I think the questions should be set up in a 2 categories.

a) Rudimentary history or events
b) Rudimentary US civics

I think that the list of questions should be short and that the answers should be mostly multiple choice. I also think that it would be better if there were 100 or more that participated in the questions.

SAMPLE QUESTIONS

circle your answers where appropriate
No Names are associated with the questionnaire – Do not write your name on the Question Sheet

1) Are you registered to vote?……..yes…….no……I don’t know

18) What President promised America that we would send a man to the moon and return him safely? ……. William Clinton ……… Ronald Reagan …….. Richard Nixon ……… John F Kennedy

.

.

è After the participant has finished with the questions – then they are instructed to return the answers and fill out the last question which is then attached to the question sheet so that answers to the questions can be associated to their Presidential preference.:

Final Question: Who will you vote for in the coming election for President of the US? George W. Bush …… John F Kerry ……… Hillary Clinton ……… Ralph Nader

I have met a couple of people on MIZZOU campus that might be able to help me with this - but I realy need a good contact. It would be nice to get the College Repubs or maybe the Political Science Club, or a Proffesor at MIZZOU to help me out here.

I think it is a good idea - but sometimes I get blinded about my projects, maybe this is a dumb idea.

Let me have it!

I would be interested in the results of your survey and it would be interesting to see a sample run in many locales :)

Another possible question might be "How many electoral votes does your state control?"

Ask them who were the two countries who fought in the Spanish-American War.

Ask them who was the President in the Reagan administration.

Would you mind if I use your sample questions to use at my school? I have no idea how many people will want to answer it, but, I think most would.

go ahead and use them - but I am hopoing to have these questions answered under some sort of controlled conditions so that the results can illustrate who the stupid voters real are. I am hoping to have this as a "Valid Survey" somehow. I just don't know all the details that are supposed to be part of a "Valid Survey"

Another possible question might be "How many electoral votes does your state control?"

That question is VERY important in light of the liberals pushing for a populus vote. I did a paper on it and not one person in the 'college' class understood the process. They did not understand the difference between a republic and democracy, either. A good project would be to explain the electoral process, including the 2000 map and putting it on flyers.

Why not just pose the question:

Do you agree or disagree with each of the following statements. Then insert the 10 planks of the communist manifesto, in jumbled order. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/7006/com-man.html

You will simultaneously expose the ignorant and the communists for the sane among them to see.

I think the most interesting questions have been suggested by Peter Kirsanow at NRO.

10 points for knowing which government agency Kirsanow works for... questions for Kerry.

I know that this is the crux of the whole questionaire - but I just cannot ask that question! I have to beat around the Bush - so to speak.

Several things:

If I knew I had done poorly on the quiz, I would put down that I was voting for Kerry, even though I'd never, ever, never, never, vote for him. That question needs to be given early.

If I was a Kerry voter, I'd cheat by giving my friends the answers to the questions. I'd suggest having a number of different quizzes, and hand them out to the particpants randomly.

That said, I think you're on to something, it just needs to be debugged and made idiot proof, otherwise the libs will scam it.

how come, when I go to the Missouri FReeper page, I cannot see the list of Missouri FReepers that I used to be able to see?

There used to be a list along the left side of the page - now there is nothing but the Missouri messages

"One of the tired cliches Democrats trot out against every presidential candidate they face, be it Ford, Reagan, HW Bush or W Bush, is that their opponent is stupid, ill-informed, and provincial, and that their man is intelligent, sophisticated, and worldly. This year is no different, with Kerry being pictured as much more informed, capable, and cultured than W. Do you agree with Orwell's observation that only an intellectual could believe such an idea, since no ordinary man would be so foolish?" Yes____ No____..........

14) During World War II, the United States and her allies fought against Germany what other countries? ……. China and Russia …….. France and Spain ….. Saudi Arabia and Iran ….. Japan and Italy

To make this question clearer, try inserting an "and".

If you need any help around here, let me know. I'd even be glad to man one of the tables. Even though I'm non-degree grad (temporarily), I am a student here and have the right to set up a table. You just need to buy me a nice lunch at Bambino's or something.

Ya know something, people like me are an asset to the home team because most liberals can't tell that I'm not one of them by looking, which gives me an "in" when I need to convince one to vote Nader (to those of you that have never had the pleasure of viewing me in person, I wear a lot of dangly jewelry, fancy rings (thanks rface), embroidered clothes, denim, and I have shocking peroxide-red hair. Yowza. :)

Why not just use the U.S. Department of Immigration and Naturalization's test found at the following site? Then you can see whether they're smart enough to stay in this country or not.

1. If Bush was not on the ticket who would you replace him with? (list Republicans)

2. If Kerry was not on the ticket who would you replace him with? (list Republicans)

If some catch that you only listed Republicans on the "replace" list then just remind them you can't replace anyone who isn't there to begin with, and tell them they are not quick enough to vote in the 1st place.

I would love to see how many R.D.D.Babies choose Republicans on both questions.
