Because the Republican administration has stood for many things we believe in, deregulation and so on. The Democrats are not bad people. . . . But from a Viacom standpoint, we believe the election of a Republican administration is better for our company."
Mr. Redstone's office immediately went into overdrive, denying on Wednesday that he's a raised funds for the Democratic presidential nominee. Then came yesterday's "I vote Republican" vow in Hong Kong.

The second thing I noticed was the part of the article that says it was thought that he was raising funds for the Democrat nominee and then he endorses President Bush. Usually the reporters that follow and report on these business elites knwo what they are doing in regards to something like fundraisers.
Could this be something Kerry could build on with the help of this little statement? Kerry campaign could use it and say "See, big business like the President because he is giving them all kinds of tax breaks".
