In 1952, he went to his native London. While there, his U.S. re-entry visa was revoked. He was barred from re-entering by Immigration upon recommendation from the FBI which named him a security risk.
He moved to Switzerland, returning to the U.S. only once, in 1972.....to receive a special Oscar. He immediately returned to Switzerland, his career waned and he died in that alpine country with no love for the capitalistic nation where he made his more-than-considerable fortune.
