Never happy unless it's raining

Wasn't John Kerry's response to Iyad Allawi's Congress speech just pathetic? Full of negativity, berating Allawi for trying to point out that there's also some progress happening in Iraq, which undermines Kerry's "the sky has already fallen" Iraq rhetoric. Kerry had an opportunity to appear presidential and statesmanlike; .....and launched into fisking of Allawi's "contradictions" as if Iraq was a swing state and Kerry was on the hustings somewhere in Baghdad.

Any day now he's gonna' whip out that 1971 Senate testimony and do search-and-replace on the "Vietnam"s, to "Iraq."

Actually, it came across more than a little condescending and racist.

The trouble is, Kerry hasn't figured out how to make money for his friends, the French yet. Or his cousins. Making him a bit cranky.
Kerry persuaded the MIA/POW Senate committee to vote unanimously that no POWs existed in Vietnam in order to open up trade with Vietnam (his cousin C. Stewart Forbes, CEO of Colliers Intl, received a contract for a huge commercial deal worth at least $905 million to develop a deep-sea commercial port at Vung Tau). For more on the POW/MIA issue, here is a great article: When John Kerry's Courage Went M.I.A. - Senator covered up evidence of P.O.W.'s left behind

Exactly right. Of course we don't want GWB to be unrealistic but for crying out loud, he is trying to show hope and optimism for the future of the Iraqi people, and the security and freedom of Americans. For Kerry to trash this attitude and scream doom and gloom is completely counterproductive. Not to mention it shows he has a character Americans DO NOT want in a president. I will truly live in fear of what may happen in our future if he and Edwards get into power. God help us all.

Meet Eeyore. This expresses very well what Eeyore is like: depressed. If you ask Eeyore for his opinion you'll probably get the most negative opinion you'd ever dreamed off.

I'd like to remind Monsieur kerree, that there are NO GO ZONES in many parts of the United States.

He might want to consider sections of D.C., Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, NYC.........

Is he suggesting that we cancel our presidential elections?
