what does a phone record prove or disprove?
Phone records will only show the call and length of call. Unless Burkett recorded the conversation, it's a mute point.
Gee Wiz, at least look at the phone records first!
It simply proves that the MSM and even O'Reilly think we're stupid if they think anyone thinks Lockhart and Burkett were talking about the weather.........
The length of the call would be revealing.
IF lockhart was calling burkett to brush him off and do a favor as he claimed, two minutes tops. IF lockhart called burkett to get his hands on his own copies of the forged docs they would have had much more to discuss. Then it is collusion with cbs who gave him the tip and that is only the tip of the iceberg.
Or even how many phone calls were made!
Just because Lockhart said it was one call is no reason to believe it.
What makes you think that Lockhart made the call from his personal phone. Wasn't he (Lockhart) working for the Kerry campaign at the time? Why wouldn't he use one of the campaign phones? And if he did, how could you trace the call to Lockhart as opposed to some other staffer?
burkett is going to bring the rats down. frenchie's campaign fingerprints are all over this.
"Mute" and moot. ;-)
I knew(!!) Burkett was the weak link in all this. Lesson: don't tie your wagon to a nutcase!
I hope this hits the Dem Party right where they live-- in the pocketbook. Can you imagine how pissed you would be if you gave this group of clowns millions? They behave like this is high school. It is sad that a major American political party can no longer be considered a "serious" participant in our public discourse. We're at war for christsake!
>>what does a phone record prove or disprove?<<
Length of call. Lockhart said the conversation lasted only about five minutes, if I remember correctly.
The fact that there WAS a conversation is damning, but if Lockhart lied aout this, it will be devastating.
However, I am confident that it has been plenty devastating already.
I was on the phone last night, talking to a friend of mine in Mass. It was a 10 minute conversation. Was it about:
Her father's illness?
The place where I'm living now?
How to load Symantec? or
Plans for her visit?
It was about one of those topics. Which was it? Prove it.
Lockhart already admitted talking to Burkett. That doesn't need to be proved. They both admit to speaking to each other. Lochart says 3-4 minutes. If the records show 8-10 minutes, then we'll know Lockhart is lying. Burkett better stay away from Fort Marcy Park.
A fundamental question is how Lockhart was approached.A CBS producer calls him and says exactly what? Lockhart certainly didn't agree to take a phone call from a perfect stranger without some inkling of what the Producer was trying to get from their source. And was there an existing relationship between Mapes and Lockhart, or was this supposed to be some sort of 'cold' call (if so, this would make the disclosure of what they were on to much more likely)?
Otherwise, we're supposed to believe that Joe Lockhart is just too happy to have chit-chatty phone conversations with perfect strangers at the behest of people he's never heard of.
Maybe it was recorded for "quality purposes" (just kidding).
