BANGOR, Maine, Sept. 23 -- It had been a pretty glum day for Spec. Brian Parker, who along with the other members of his National Guard unit said goodbye to their families and departed on a charter flight for a long-term stint in Iraq. But then, on a refueling stop here, a familiar figure boarded the plane. "We were down when we left our families," Parker said, giving a thumbs down. "But then we heard Air Force One was here. It's a good morale boost." Thursday's Question: Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi delivered a speech to a joint meeting of Congress today. For the troops, grimly heading toward an 18-to-24-month assignment in Iraq, it was a welcome lift. For Bush, who has been accusing his Democratic presidential opponent, Sen. John F. Kerry, of demoralizing the troops in Iraq by criticizing the war effort, it was a chance to demonstrate his devotion to the troops. "May God bless you all," the commander in chief said over the plane's public address system. "May God keep you safe." ...

WOW! What a contrast from that former president who held his plane on the tarmac so he could get an expensive haircut!

May God bless President Bush and our troops!

Remember that time I called you? I was *almost* going to tell you that I was calling from the White House and that President Bush would appreciate it if you'd stop stalking him. But, alas, I cannot be that cruel! ;D

This from Pravda on the Potomac!

I think the exposure of CBS's blatant bias and lies (to which they know they are guilty of) and fear of the pajama army has tweaked them a bit.

I've noticed a big change in both CNN and ABC radio news this week. Today ABC news actually sounded pro-Bush. Wonders never cease to amaze.

Can't you just see in your mind's eye JFn walking down the aisle reminding these wonderful reservists of his war crimes in VN, his stirring stories of attaching wires to genitals, his fond remembrances of chopping off limbs? That would really help our troops' morale. The thought gives me the shivers.

Thank God that our service men and women have a Commander in Chief like President Bush. It's so obvious that he really cares about all of our soldiers. God Bless and protect all of them!

"That's my president, hooah!" shouted Sgt. Wanda Dabbs, a 22-year-old member of the 230th Area Support Group, a Guard unit from Tennessee. Others seconded her cheer.

That, and the individual that stated pride in our President after the president has said the same, have me in near tears.

I love this man! This is a GOOD man. Those incapable of accepting that are beneath contempt.

Bush's impromptu visit with the departing soldiers came with some risk. It could remind the American public that more and more reservists and Guard members are being removed from their workplaces and sent on dangerous assignments in an increasingly bloody Iraq."

This is the work of an overheated mind. Normal people won't react this way.
bush-haters will, but real people will not.
