Who Cares About Arizona? Not Teresa.
Blogs For Bush ^ | Sept. 23, 2004 | Matt Margolis

Posted on 09/23/2004 6:57:08 PM PDT by conservativecorner

Teresa Heinz-Kerry was quite the spectactle today, during an interview in Arizona, she did not like being told that her husband was down in the polls. "He's still down in Arizona," the interviewer said.

"Who cares?" she replied, "One state is not a whole state." [I think she meant it's not the whole country]

Who cares? That's quite the attitude to have now isn't it? Watch the video... it speaks volumes...

Arizona is a state the Kerry campaign really wanted to win... Now they shrug it off with "who cares?"

John Kerry certainly cared not too long ago... Just days before the Democrat's Convention, John Kerry was all about trying to win Arizona...

...Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry said there should be no confusion: He and vice presidential running mate John Edwards are "very much moderate." "Right in the center," Kerry said Friday, responding to Republicans, including some Arizona politicians, who have labeled the Kerry-Edwards ticket the "most liberal" in history and not a reflection of Arizona or the rest of the country.

As for claims made by President Bush's campaign last week that Kerry's campaign may be giving up on winning Arizona this fall, the Massachusetts senator shot back: "They're dreaming. Wishful thinking."

Wishful thinking? Looks like the Bush campaign was right on the money, because John Kerry has pulled advertising in the state.

But hey, now that they're losing, who cares right?

If you don't care, Thereza, why are you polluting the air in Arizona with your presence?

Oh, give him some credit. He's pretty consistent in the moron department, too.

The DU folks are more than just a LITTLE out of touch.
They say:
Republicans DO want to kill gays.
No, we don't. Frankly, as a conservative Republican I don't want to kill anyone and I don't care what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home. It's not my business or the government's.

They [Republicans] do hate women and minorities.
No, we don't. We are the party that actually cares because we are the party that says Adam Smith had it right. People can make it & we believe that people do want to succeed. Conversely, the Dem's follow a plan that was called slavery about 150 years ago & today is called "social welfare" - i.e. - keep people poor enough that they can never move into your gated community & give them just enough to live until election day. (this last part is optional in Chicago)

They [Republicans] have killed over 1,000 US soldiers and brag about it (as Bush did to the UN this week).
No, we did not. Those soldiers were killed by the enemy - an enemy that the lunatic left gives comfort to when they protest this war & demand all troops home regardless of the costs. For the record, President Bush did NOT brag about anything. I saw the speech. Obviously, this DU person did not.

They [Republicans] have taken away overtime pay...
Actually, no we haven't. This is a clear indication that the DU person gets his/her/its news from the labor union "newsletter".

...any labor rights...
So, back to your union newsletter.... there seems to be plenty of labor rights here in IL where I live. You can't fire a poorly performing Civil Service Union employee where I work unless you give the 365 days notice. That's right, one year notice to fire someone.

...they [Republicans] want to stop people from filing lawsuits...
This is the worst kind of lie, one that just makes no sense. DU person, perhaps it may have dawned on you that a LOT of lawyers happen to be Republican. Why would they go along with that. I am sure that is how it was explained on the DU website, but here is the truth. Not all lawsuits are valid. Not all lawsuits advance the cause of justice. Some lawyers are actually kind of slimy people who are simply chasing a large cash settlement from a corporation. [HINT - See John Edwards]. These types of lawsuits must be stopped because they are bankrupting our economy, wasting the time of our courts, and forcing people like me to sign a stupid waiver just so I can go to the batting cage on the weekend. They have killed over 1,000 US soldiers and brag about it (as Bush did to the UN this week). They have taken away overtime pay, any labor rights, they want to stop people from filing lawsuits, etc.

I really think that despite living here for over 30 years, Ms. Heinz-Kerry does not understand the nuances of the American language. Surely this must be it, she cannot possibly be as stupid as her comments make her sound.

I'm trying to be charitable to her. I've known several non-native speakers who give the wrong impressions of their views due to not understanding the nuances of the spoken language.

"Here is what one DU'er said: "Republicans DO want to kill gays....""
Maybe the DU craziness ought to be encouraged: let us invent something manifestly out of phase, plant it there and see whether they would swallow it whole. It might even return back suitably embellished. In any case it might be good clean fun to watch.
For the opening I'd suggest a story that Dr. Jack Kevorkian is considered for a VERY senior post in Health and Human Services Department; or, barring that, for the position of Social Security Administrator...

You are being very charitable.

I am the only native speaker in my research group. The others are fluent in English, tho none of them have been here as long as Tereza. They make some language mistakes, but if they have a question about a word, are more careful not to speak, and ask me for the correct word, than to say something that would be taken the wrong way.

Tereza knows what she is saying and she doesn't care. 'Let the kids go around naked'?? Please. She's uncouth and a racist as well. If some disaster befell her little French friends, would she suggest that their kids go naked? I doubt it.
